Nobody Owens, known to his friends as Bod, is a normal boy. He would be completely normal if he didn't live in a sprawling graveyard, being raised and educated by ghosts, with a solitary guardian who belongs to neither the world of the living nor of the dead. There are dangers and adventures in the graveyard for a boy. But if Bod leaves the graveyard, then he will come under attack from the man Jack - who has already killed Bod's family…

Bod... Short for Nobody. Once your get past the murders in the first chapter, this is a story of love, hope, redemption and most of all-family. Nobody’s embraced by the residents of the graveyard. He find shelter and protection in the oddest place.

Bod’s hunger to learn and live brings new life to the ghosts. Gaiman sneaks in some history lessons and reminds us that historical accuracy is a matter of opinion and learning is a valuable opportunity. Bod experiences lessons in living with each chapters

Great Young Adult selection. Adults will love it, too. Would be a great discussion book. One of my all time favorites to recommend.

FBI Special Agent Matthew Roarke is closing in on a bust of a major criminal organization in San Francisco when he witnesses an undercover member of his team killed right in front of him on a busy street, an accident Roarke can't believe is coincidental. His suspicions put him on the trail of a mysterious young woman who appears to have been present at each scene of a years-long string of accidents and murders, and who may well be that most rare of killers: a female serial.

I chose this book on a "deal" option. Wow! What a winner. If you like the Catherine Coulter FBI series - this will appeal. There are rarely seen dimensions to the character of the killer and a humanness to the FBI agents beyond "the book". The relationship between the serial killer and the agent are unique to any series I have read. Enjoy.

The last two have been exceptionally good. It is hard to not be simply formula when writing the volume of books Nora Roberts/JD Robb provides for us who wait impatiently. I love the people she writes about and the little details she adds in with each book keeps me coming back for more. Relationships are messy and complicated at times. I adore Eve and Rourke. But her other characters are just as endearing. Messy lives but love survives... even "In Death".

Thriller scribe Sophie Katz is as hard-boiled as a woman who drinks Grande Caramel Brownie Frappuccionos can be. So Sophie knows it's not paranoia, or post-divorce, living-alone-again jitters, when she becomes convinced that a crazed reader is sneaking into her apartment to reenact scenes from her books. The police, however, can't tell a good plot from an unmarked grave.

What did you love best about Sex, Murder, and a Double Latte?

This author has truly found that wonderful niche that Janet Evanovich has really monopolized for a long time. Kyra Davis has strong characters with great personalities. You feel like you know them. The Hero is a little Joe and a Little Ranger in one package. The multicultural characters somehow create a quirky family. A little murder along the way keeps things moving.

Who was your favorite character and why?

I love the hero...he isn't sure if he can survive pursuing a relationship with her...but it will be fun trying. The main character is the glue...and the girlfriend relationships are so well portrayed with the good and the dramas.

What about Gabra Zackman’s performance did you like?

good.
