At once wildly original and stuffed with irresistible nostalgia, Ready Player One is a spectacularly genre-busting, ambitious, and charming debut—part quest novel, part love story, and part virtual space opera set in a universe where spell-slinging mages battle giant Japanese robots, entire planets are inspired by Blade Runner, and flying DeLoreans achieve light speed.

I so wish there was a continuation of this story. Ready Player One, left me craving more of the vibrant Oasis, and wishing to listen to what happens between the characters after all was said and done. who did what with their money, and how did the world change after that. Oh my goodness, this is a great read/listen, and I can't wait till the book Armada.

Matt Cruse is a cabin boy on the Aurora, a huge airship that sails hundreds of feet above the ocean. One night he meets a dying balloonist who speaks of beautiful creatures drifting through the skies. It is only after Matt meets the balloonist's granddaughter that he realizes that the man's ravings may, in fact, have been true, and that the creatures are completely real and utterly mysterious.

I read this once as a student in highschool, and I very much enjoyed the story before, but listening to it in this well done audio book breathed new life into an exciting and engaging story that I loved through to the end. Now onto Sky Breaker!

William Gibson's dark visions of computer cowboys, bio-enhanced soldiers of fortune, and hi-tech lowlifes have won unprecedented praise. Included here are some of the most famous short fiction and novellas by the author of Count Zero and Neuromancer.

at first the stories seemed to be all over the place, and I did wish I had some sort of foreknowledge about the characters and their past in a few of the stories, but over all it was nice. There was quite a bit of techno-babble in the entirety of the book, but if you can get past that, then you're in for a treat. I look forward to listening to more of William Gibson's stuff in the future.
