Georgie McCool knows her marriage is in trouble. That it’s been in trouble for a long time. She still loves her husband, Neal, and Neal still loves her, deeply - but that almost seems beside the point now. Maybe that was always beside the point. Two days before they’re supposed to visit Neal’s family in Omaha for Christmas, Georgie tells Neal that she can’t go. She’s a TV writer, and something’s come up on her show; she has to stay in Los Angeles. She knows that Neal will be upset with her - Neal is always a little upset with Georgie - but she doesn’t expect to him to pack up the kids and go without her.

This is such a unique story and it was performed perfectly by Rebecca Lowman, whom I’ve grown accustomed to hearing because of the other Rainbow Rowell audiobooks I’ve listened to.

Each character was distinct and fleshed out, and their relationships to the main character of Georgie were obvious. It’s such a well woven story that doesn’t lose steam and keeps you caring and rooting for each character as if they are people you already know.

There’s a self awareness in the way that Rainbow writes that keeps the story grounded, but at the same time elevates the experience of the reader in the way that we feel related to and understood.

I couldn’t recommend this more!

Katie Ellison is not a liar. It's just that telling the truth is so...tricky. She knows she shouldn't be making out with a drama club hottie behind her football-player boyfriend's back. She should probably admit that she can't stand eating quahogs (clams), especially since she's running for Quahog Princess in her hometown's annual Quahog Festival.

Meg Cabot is the New York Times best-selling author of The Princess Diaries series. Susannah Simon is a teenager who can see ghosts. As a bridge between the living and the dead, she gets called on to help ghosts take care of unfinished business. After she and her mother move from New York City to sunny California, Suze meets the sexiest boy she's ever seen, too bad he's a ghost, too.

Unsurprisingly, the narrator went above and beyond in bringing this great series to life. Each character was voiced distinctly and very much close to how I imagined them to sound like. I loved it all and hope that the 5th book 'Haunted' will finally be recorded by Johanna as I am having withdrawals!
