It is Nick and Amy Dunne's fifth wedding anniversary. Presents are being wrapped and reservations are being made when Nick's clever and beautiful wife disappears from their rented McMansion on the Mississippi River. Husband-of-the-Year Nick isn't doing himself any favors with cringe-worthy daydreams. Under mounting pressure from the police and the media - as well as Amy's fiercely doting parents - the town golden boy parades an endless series of lies, deceits, and inappropriate behavior. Nick is oddly evasive, and he's definitely bitter - but is he really a killer?

What did you love best about Gone Girl?

The narration was excellent! Amy was dangerously intelligent. I felt sorry for and liked Nick even though he continually made poor decisions. This book was well thought out and written. Once I started reading I couldn't put it down.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Gone Girl?

There are many moments that stick out for me but not because something good happened. For instance when Nick first started to realized what Amy had done. It was amazing how Amy thought of everything and even had a backup plan.

What does Julia Whelan and Kirby Heyborne bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

These narrator's are by far the best I've heard! I finally listened to a book where a man was narrated by a male and a woman by a female. Nick's and Amy's voices were perfect! The secondary voices weren't so great but I thoroughly enjoyed the narration anyway.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

A marriage thought to be over forces Nick and Amy to weave a web full of lies, hate and mistrust. Believing that love still lives in the other they are reunited only to learn that a darkness lives in each and that they cannot be apart.

Any additional comments?

I truly enjoyed the narration of this book; awesome job!! I will look for other books narrated by Julia and Kirby.I was very dissappointed in the ending. I really wanted Nick to break free and find someone else to bring out the best in him. I can understand why it ended the way it did...I just didn't like it. Quite tragic in a way. Maybe ii'd have liked it if Amy had changed and she sincerely loved Nick instead of forcing him to be who she wanted.

What made the experience of listening to Late, Late at Night the most enjoyable?

Most enjoyable was to hear this in Rick Springfield's own voice!

What did you like best about this story?

I enjoyed Rick's humor while sharing his life with us. I also appreciate his candidness and honestly in his shared laughter and pain.

Have you listened to any of Rick Springfield’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

Only his music and acting. I love both.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

The Darkness Hasn't Spoiled Me Yet

Any additional comments?

This was a very interesting book. It was very enjoyable and Rick seemed to write what and how he felt. He gave it to us straight and I am happy that he has someone to share his life with. This book let us enter his life and share his views of his success and the demons he's faced. I can certainly understand his depression. It is not an easy thing to get a grip on. May God Bless him and his family. I'm glad he will finally get his own Star in Hollywood next year.

The worldwide phenomenon continues as Eva and Gideon face the demons of their pasts and accept the consequences of their obsessive desires.... From the moment I first met Gideon Cross, I recognized something in him that I needed. Something I couldn’t resist. I also saw the dangerous and damaged soul inside - so much like my own. I was drawn to it. I needed him as surely as I needed my heart to beat. No one knows how much he risked for me. How much I’d been threatened, or just how dark and desperate the shadow of our pasts would become.

Where does Entwined With You rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

The performance of Jill Redfield was quite good. I enjoyed listening to her narrate. I felt like this book showcased more of the sex scenes and Eva's and Gideon's building of trust, deeper love, and understanding of one another than it did with actual content and resolution. What it did was provoke a yearning and interest in what's to come in the next book. I have suspicions about Eva's mother and maybe the situation with Nathan's murder. I think this series could go on for more than one installment because there are so many storylines developing and it may seem rushed if it's wrapped up in only one more book. Sylvia has created a fantastic group of characters.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Entwined With You?

I think the extreme detail of their 'encounters' was hotter than hell. It was touching that Gideon cried; it showed his more sensitive side. All of the touching moments where Gideon and Ava are together are exactly what I was wanting for them. I also felt the pain and dissappointment that Ava must have felt by being swept away from Gideon at the hospital. It's outstanding that "Crossfire" is Ava's safeword during intimacy but stands for Gideon's deep affection and extreme need for Ava.

Which scene was your favorite?

I could never decide. The entire story is awesome!

If you were to make a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

Even the darkness of their pasts cannot keep them from their destiny to be together. It's just a matter of time.

Any additional comments?

I cannot believe how this ended. I will go insane waiting for the next book. I can only hope it will be this year and SOON (please!) because if I have to wait one whole year or longer I will explode!

"Gideon Cross came into my life like lightning in the darkness… He was beautiful and brilliant, jagged and white-hot. I was drawn to him as I’d never been to anything or anyone in my life. I craved his touch like a drug, even knowing it would weaken me. I was flawed and damaged, and he opened those cracks in me so easily…Gideon knew. He had demons of his own. And we would become the mirrors that reflected each other’s most private wounds…and desires."

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

I really enjoyed this book. I've read a lot of books that have erotic scenes and know that I will love to hear them when I can't re-read the book. Each one that I have enjoyed has an intriguing story and of course the characters have some flaw brought on from their past. The very rich men are always stunningly handsome (and of course hotter than hell!!). The women are beautiful but have such low self esteem for some reason or another and are a bit annoying ... what more do you want the man to do to you....I mean for you?! Did I mention the hot love scenes?! In all fairness, the men don't think they are worthy of the ladies either. The event(s) that triggered Gideon's flaws have not been revealed yet and I'm completely dying to find out. Eva has "bared to us" what's in her past and Gideon still loves her, God bless his soul! If you haven't read Reflected In You you are in for a roller coaster icy/hot ride and an ending that I (personally) didn't see coming. I have recommended this book and many others from Sylvia Day to my friends and they are all hooked and enthusiastic about the next installment as well.

What other book might you compare Bared to You to and why?

Well, of course 50 Shades...but also Gabriel's Fire, the Billionaire trilogy (the Marriage Bargain, the Marriage Trap, & the Marriage Mistake). Then on the supernatural side there is the Charley Davidson series by Dyandra Jones. You HAVE to get those!! Why...the steamy love scenes, the sexy men, and the lucky women who fall in love with the most perfect being in their life that cherish, protect, and physically and spiritually love them!! Can you be jealous of a fictional character? Did I mention the sex?!? Where do these men learn this stuff and where can I send my man to take the course?

Which character – as performed by Jill Redfield – was your favorite?

Eva.....

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Absolutely...I'm addicted. I have listened to my audios multiple times.

Any additional comments?

I really wish that there were at least 2 readers - one male, one female. You can be a great reader, but there is nothing like a seductive male voice!!!

Gideon Cross: As beautiful and flawless on the outside as he was damaged and tormented on the inside. He was a bright, scorching flame that singed me with the darkest of pleasures. I couldn’t stay away. I didn’t want to. He was my addiction…my every desire…mine. My past was as violent as his, and I was just as broken. We’d never work. It was too hard, too painful…except when it was perfect. Those moments when the driving hunger and desperate love were the most exquisite insanity. We were bound by our need. And our passion would take us beyond our limits to the sweetest, sharpest edge of obsession.…

Would you consider the audio edition of Reflected in You to be better than the print version?

No. I love to let my imagination create the characters in my mind and how they would speak. The audio version, you pretty much have to listen to it through someone elses interpretation. But I love the book so much that I still enjoy the audio version,

Who was your favorite character and why?

Gideon...he's HOT!!!

What does Jill Redfield bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

She interprets their emotions and reads, Eva's part well.

Absolutely!

I cannot wait for the 3rd book! I read an excerpt and am wondering what happens that they spend part of their lives with other people instead of each other.

Would you consider the audio edition of Fifty Shades Freed to be better than the print version?

I enjoy the print version because it is completely my imagination with no interference.

What did you like best about this story?

I wanted to learn the whole story of Christian's upbringing that caused him such sadness until he met Ana. I like how I felt what the characters were feeling and that I could actually relate to some of the craziness. I just fell in love with the characters.

Which character – as performed by Becca Battoe – was your favorite?

Ana. She sounded young, feisty, and strong when she needed to be.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

In this book it was when Ana had to tell Christian that she was leaving him. He was devastated and her heart was wrenched having to say that. It showed how much Christian didn't believe that he deserved happiness because he believed it so quickly. I cried.

Any additional comments?

I would have liked to find out why Ana had such low self esteem. That seemed to be an underlying issue that was never truly addressed. I absolutely love this story! I was happy that everything turned out the way it did. Christian and Ana deserved to be happy.

Where does Fifty Shades of Grey rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

I have listened to this about 5 times since I got it! I am so intrigued by Christian and Ana because they both are so in love with each other. They both have self esteem issues that need to be worked out and that is part of their charm. Ana pushes Christians buttons to the limit and he gets so angry but he can't stay away. Christian is very immature when it comes to their relationship, but because of how he was raised. sex is his escape and coping mechanism when problems arise. This is an excellent book and I truly enjoyed it.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Fifty Shades of Grey?

OMG! I have so many! The very first is when Ana is drunk and calls Christian.

Have you listened to any of Becca Battoe’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

I have not heard her before. She is o.k. Since this is my first audio book, I have nothing to compare it to. All I can say is that it is not what I expected. For some reason I thought male characters would be read by men and female characters would be read by women.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Absolutely!

Any additional comments?

I was a little hesitant to read this book because everyone just said it had a lot of sexual content. After reading and listening to this book several times, I am hooked. I love the main characters and the mystery of Christian Grey! I enjoy Ana's subconscious and inner goddess comments and actions! We all have them inside and it was fun learning their thoughts as Ana goes through her daily routines!

What did you love best about Fifty Shades Darker?

I love the characters and the emotions that Christian and Ana experience.

What did you like about the performance? What did you dislike?

I never listened to an audio book before and I thought that a man would read Christian's part so I was a little disappointed when Becca read it. She did the best she could for her voice.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

I laugh at Ana's inner Goddess. It's really adorable the things she does. I cried when Christian was missing. I can feel what the character's feel as I read and if someone were to watch me they would laugh. I smile at funny, witty parts and get teary eyed when they are sad. I absolutely love these books.

Any additional comments?

Thanks you for the opportunity to hear these books. I listen to them when I am relaxing in bed and don't have to worry about turning pages.
