What was supposed to happen: Mandy would land in the Virgin Islands, head to the Revenge Café on St. Thomas, and start living her dream life. She'd begin a new career sharing ownership of the restaurant with her best friend, Chance. She'd break her addiction to therapy cold turkey. And shed let the slow, laid-back pace of island life fix whatever was broken within her. What actually happened: apparently the Revenge Cafe is the "it" place for people dying, let alone dining.

What did you love best about Revenge Cafe?

I love mysteries and when the solution surprises me, I like them even better. This one was a real surprise.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Revenge Cafe?

The most memorable moment is the "car chase" at the end. Mandy is an incredible, wonderful, delightful, makes-you-laugh-out-loud character.

What does Wendy Pitts bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Wendy Pitts adds dimension and atmosphere that would otherwise be missing, if I just read the book. Her voices bring the characters alive and give them personality that I definitely wouldn't get just reading it.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

Dining and Death in Paradise!

Any additional comments?

Get this audio book, you'll love the characters. You will also feel the spirit of island.

Fifteen minutes is all the Rewind Agency gives a person when they travel to the past, but for Lara Crane it's enough for her to race through the city, find her mother, and stop her from being killed in a mugging that happened over 10 years ago. But the story she's been told all her life is a lie. When Lara takes a bullet meant for her mother, her future changes forever. A new house, new friends, and a new boyfriend turns Lara's life upside down.

If you could sum up 15 Minutes: A YA Time Travel Thriller in three words, what would they be?

Travel Changes Lives!

Who was your favorite character and why?

Lara Crane is the time traveler and my favorite character. We wonder what is happening right along with her. The more she changes things in time, the more dilemmas develop. She is torn between her "old memories" and the "new memories."

Have you listened to any of Wendy Pitts’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

I have listened to several of Wendy Pitt's performances and think this is one of her best. She certainly brings Lara Crane to life and definitely gives each character a distinctive voice. You can feel the excitement mount as she reads.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

I definitely did have a reaction to this book and while it didn't make me laugh or cry, it most certainly did stretch my imagination and arouse my curiosity. With every chapter you wonder how can this end well for everyone? And there is a wonderful surprise ending. O. Henry couldn't have done better.

Any additional comments?

I loved this book -- Read it, you will, too. Time travel is fascinating and this one is a doozie!!!

No one in the small town of Placentia, California is surprised when Benny Needles's house catches fire. The outside hasn't seen a paint brush in years. The inside is stuffed with Dean Martin memorabilia. It would be a simple case of homeowner negligence, except for the body found inside. Under suspicion of both murder and arson, Benny turns to the one person who has always helped him, private investigator Peri Minneopa. Fire investigation isn't on her menu of services, but Peri's weak spot for Benny overrules her reluctance.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

I would recommend The Hot Mess to friends, relatives and even perfect strangers because I like books that keep you guessing and this one does. You think you have it all figured out and then the clues don't line up. The end was a real nail biter.

What was one of the most memorable moments of The Hot Mess?

One of my favorite moments comes near the end when Nick tries to atone for what he has done by doing something for Benny. It makes me smile all over. Get the book and find out what he did.

What about Wendy Pitts’s performance did you like?

Wendy Pitts has a lot of male voices to do in this book and does them very well. For me she has perfectly matched Benny Needles voice to his character, and, of course, Peri Minneopa's voice is great. Her performance is a great asset to the story line.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

I was so happy to learn the reason Benny's dad left and what he did so make sure Benny and his mom were taken care of. And my absolutely most favorite moment is when Benny says, "Miss Peri, even I know people are more important than things."

Any additional comments?

I love to read and I love to listen to good books read. I can still "do my chores" and "read" with audio books. The Hot Mess kept me up late because I did not want to go to bed without knowing "what happened."

Would you consider the audio edition of Hit or Missus to be better than the print version?

The audio version is so much better because Wendy Pitts is really right on the button with her voice interpretations.

Did the plot keep you on the edge of your seat? How?

The plot definitely kept me going because I kept listening long after I should have gone to bed!

What does Wendy Pitts bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Wendy Pitts makes the characters vividly alive. There is an added dimension that isn't there when you just read a book. I couldn't have picked the voices but I know when they are right and the voices here are great. Peri's voice seems just right and Benny Needles voice is absolutely perfect!

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

Peri's reaction to being shot at was astounding. I can't imagine being able to function at all with bullets coming in my direction.

Any additional comments?

I love Peri's curiosity--her need to know, to find the answer.
