I didn't expect much when choosing this title. I got just what I expected. The stories were okay. They were true to the Pokemon series as a whole. I will likely never "read" this again. But I don't think it was a waste of my money. It gave the family a couple hours of entertainment while driving.

I enjoy these Natalie Lloyd stories, but the naration is just too slow. I had to listen to it at time and a half. On A Snicker of Magic, I thought it was the narator of that book, but
now I think it is an intentional choice by the author. Still a good read.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

I thought this was a fun QUICK read. (See my comment on the narrator.) It was very lighthearted and fun to follow the characters. Most of the characters were not fully developed, but It did not leave the story lacking. Especially at the pace I devoured it.

What other book might you compare A Snicker of Magic to and why?

It made me think of Night Circus, which is a great read. Only this book was not as well developed nor does it feel as epic.

Would you listen to another book narrated by Cassandra Morris?

Probably not. The reading in this book was way too slow. I normally will listen to books at regular speed. I respect the performers delivery of a book most times. Cassandra was so slow that I had to listen to the book at 1.5x speed. I really enjoyed her performance at that pace. Listening any slower made me feel like my head was in a fog.

Any additional comments?

This is a light and fun story. It sure is good that some of the murder victims and murderers come from out of town. If they didn't the whole town would be dead or behind bars by now. Based on the 2010 census there were only 5235 people in Bar Harbor.

Enough nit picking. I really did enjoy this story, even though the series gets less believable as we go along. I will definitely pickup the next book if there is one. I think I can see where the relationship side of things is going. I'm hooked and love every silly unbelievable moment of the journey.

I couldn't finish. I can take a little foul language in a book, but it seemed like this had a curse word in every couple of sentences. some might like this, but not me. Jesus Martinez was fine as a narrator. I didn't get far enough to listen to Laura Gomez. Next!

What didn’t you like about Ax Norman’s performance?

This is the reason for my review. While Ax Norman's voice is pleasant to listen to his performance is HORRIBLE. Mispronounced names, monotone reading, and whispered shouts are all part of this dismal performance. I would not recommend this reading for those who are new to the world of Dragonlance. At times I could engross myself in the story and completely forget the pitiful presentation.I know that I've been spoiled with all of the other wonderful narrators. There really are too many to mention. Ax should learn from some of them.

Would you listen to Viaje al Centro de la Tierra (Journey to the Center of the Earth) (Dramatized) again? Why?

This was a great book for a road trip. The dramatization is different than most of my books. I enjoyed it as a change of pace. This is the type of audiobook my wife prefers.
