Two addicts. One epic love story. Prepare for the worst. That's what Lily and Lo try to do when Jonathan Hale schedules an "important" meeting. The problem: After being swept into the public eye and battling their addictions, they're not sure what the worst is anymore. Sarah Anderson has found her dream job: Clerk of Court for the District of Columbia Night Court. Dream job, that is, until she’s attacked in the open courtroom by a vampire defendant. And until she’s forced to take self-defense lessons from her boss, the enigmatic vampire James Morton. And until she learns that she can’t share the truth about any of that with her best friend, Allison Ward – even over delectable cupcakes from the Cake Walk bakery.

The reading was choppy with no inflection. Monotone, pauses for breath timed wrong with sentence structure making it hard to follow. Ended up just reading the book. So much better that way. I use audible for when I drive long distance for work. This this destroyed the story.
