I loved the character of Sorcha dún Scoti and the mystery of Una's characters and how they are connected. I also enjoyed Caden's character as well and the issues he was facing when Sorcha came into his life. I hope there is another story in the wings.

Lillianna de Burgh knows all about the legend surrounding the women in her family - that true love awakens the gift of sight within them. But given the horrific betrayals the power has brought her ancestors, she wants no part in true love or the supposed gift. Avoiding her fate seems simple enough since men have proven time and again that they wish to use her, not cherish her, even her own kin. Thankfully, when she flees England to escape her evil uncle, she finds herself in the company of a seemingly hard-hearted Highlander who thinks the legend is nothing more than a myth.

I love highlander stories and this could have been a good one but it was too slow. It was as if some of the chapters were just fillers. However, I liked the characters of Ian and Augusta, but it took to long for them to really come together. You will also meet Ian's brothers, sister, their niece and future in-laws. This book was not a total waste for me, but I hope the next one is better.

LS does it again. As usual Sands' books has mystery, love, sex and deceit in them. This makes them so enjoyable. However, in this one I figured out early on who the villain might be and was not surprised when the villain was identified. Still with that in mind what the villain did and the reasons for it were good, of course in the villain's mind. I most say, I am enjoying the series about the brothers' and their friends. To me this book will not disappoint a LS fan.

At first I didn't like Gary Furlong as a narrator, but when I changed the speed on my recording the narrating was so much better.
