Good, but lacking in the end.
All in all, this was a good book. It kept my attention, and really had a unique story line with a few twists I didn’t see coming. The author didn’t fall back on a lot of traditional tropes and had fun with the background in the story. However, the end was really lacking. I felt like the last few chapters were rushed and missing a lot of detail. The ending was cliche and disappointed me. I can appreciate the story, but I wish there were fewer “flat” characters and a little more depth. With the uniqueness of the tale, I felt like there were a lot of opportunities missed.
