With authoritative reporting honed through eight presidencies from Nixon to Obama, author Bob Woodward reveals in unprecedented detail the harrowing life inside President Donald Trump’s White House and precisely how he makes decisions on major foreign and domestic policies. Woodward draws from hundreds of hours of interviews with firsthand sources, meeting notes, personal diaries, files, and documents. The focus is on the explosive debates and the decision-making in the Oval Office, the Situation Room, Air Force One, and the White House residence.

the content was excellent, with citations and context. Dates were often expressed without a year, which made it a bit challenging at time to remember when the things being spoken of had happened. the editing drove me a bit nuts though, the book largely followed a timeline of events, but jumped around at times for extra context and in other places had a chapter filled with one subject, but right at the end a paragraph about someone's resignation or relationship with Trump failing. If the goals was to be chronological, less timeshifting would have been appreciated and possibly splitting out smaller events (like a resignation) from a chapter otherwise dedicated to the handling of South Korea, would have been appreciated.
