Paul Kidd really needs to continue the adventures of this loveable band. He could write and insanely popular series on them alone.

The story is slow and winding but good. It delivers the origin and background of the main protagonist very well.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Nope because the narrator is absolutely terrible.

What other book might you compare Road of the Patriarch to and why?

Any other book with a terrible narrator.

Have you listened to any of David Colacci’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

No and hopefully I will never be subjected to one.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

This is a stupid question.

Any additional comments?

Victor Bevine has mastered the art of the Drizzt books and you should be ashamed for using these Shakespearean actors with these pompous accents to try and attempt the voices of these utilitarian characters.

What disappointed you about The Orc King?

The narrator is absolutely awful!!! I cannot state this strongly enough, Victor Bevine does an amazing job but this person does terrible voices and does not tone the emotion in any of the characters correctly.

What did you like best about this story?

The writing of R.A. Salvatore is flawless as usual.

Would you be willing to try another one of Mark Bramhall’s performances?

No no no no no, absolutely not!!!

If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from The Orc King?

anything read by Mark Bramhall...

Any additional comments?

Please, oh please just use Victor Bevine! His tone and ability to capture the emotions and intensity of any situation is second to none.
