I enjoy the story lines that push Damien and Millie on separate paths. I love seeing Millie strut her stuff. Damien has an equally adventurous problem to solve in finding and rescuing Artie; there are some great scenes involving this. Overall, this is another well done mystery that leaves me wanting to know what trouble the duo will get into next.

For ultrarunners Kate and Frederico, a typical Saturday morning is spent pounding out a 20 to 30-mile "fun run." It's during one of their runs that an insidious illness descends upon northern California, turning humans into flesh-shredding zombies. When Kate receives a desperate call from her son, Carter, she and Frederico flee their hometown and set out to help him. The only problem? Carter attends college over 200 miles away.

The author did a great job combining the two concepts without getting down the story. I enjoyed the characters and thought it was a great idea to insert a typical suburban mom into a zombie apocalypse story . Very entertaining.

Meditations is a series of personal writings by Marcus Aurelius, Roman Emperor from 161 to 180 AD, recording his private notes to himself and ideas on Stoic philosophy. The Meditations is divided into 12 books that chronicle different periods of Marcus' life. Each book is not in chronological order and it was written for no one but himself. The style of writing that permeates the text is one that is simplified, straightforward, and perhaps reflecting Marcus' Stoic perspective on the text.
