In this stunning new book, Malcolm Gladwell takes us on an intellectual journey through the world of "outliers" - the best and the brightest, the most famous and the most successful. He asks the question: what makes high achievers different? His answer is that we pay too much attention to what successful people are like and too little attention to where they are from: that is, their culture, their family, their generation, and the idiosyncratic experiences of their upbringing.

one of the most insightful books. I had read it a few years back and it blew my mind. I returned to the audio book now and realised why I loved it so much. Malcolm is a genius. to hear all the stories in the book in his voice was a audio delight. I recommend the book highly to anyone interested in an intellectual exercise even if you don't agree with the premise or message of the book.

Richard H. Thaler has spent his career studying the radical notion that the central agents in the economy are humans - predictable, error-prone individuals. Misbehaving is his arresting, frequently hilarious account of the struggle to bring an academic discipline back down to earth - and change the way we think about economics, ourselves, and our world.

When Lenina and Bernard visit a savage reservation, we experience how Utopia can destroy humanity.

Cloning, feel-good drugs, anti-aging programs, and total social control through politics, programming, and media: has Aldous Huxley accurately predicted our future? With a storyteller's genius, he weaves these ethical controversies in a compelling narrative that dawns in the year 632 A.F. (After Ford, the deity). When Lenina and Bernard visit a savage reservation, we experience how Utopia can destroy humanity.

it doesn't work as an audio book. this book won't work in print as well without accompanying tools. it's just a laundry list of principles that worked for a certain individual and organization at certain points in time based on conditions applicable to them. the core idea is to be able to define and be guided by the principles you create to achieve success you desire. in that regard, this book won't help much.
