Rezkin is an elite warrior who aims to restore order in Ashai after Caydean's attack on the King's Tournament transformed former allies and trading partners into enemies. With no army and only a ragtag group of refugees, Rezkin must wrest control of the kingdom from the mad and powerful usurper, who seems bent on destruction, and this may not be the biggest challenge. If he fails, the kingdom will be ripped apart, and Rezkin will have violated Rule 1 - to protect and honor his friends.

Good book with a decent narrator. The writing is very good and has lots of action but the book is also slow in building up to lots of things. Its like the person in the book is a bit of a depressed individual. Kinda whiny

these are wonderful books. It's a great Saga of how Richter finds friends and defeats his foes. Builds his Mist Village and has a ton of Adventure in every book. With lots of surprises that only keeps you wanting to get the next book because before you know it the book is at its end.
