There is probably some great information in this book. I was looking forward to it. Starting somewhere in chapter 3 different lines from other chapters are inserted. It skips around several times and gets impossible to follow. very annoying. Doesn't anyone check this stuff???I just gave up.

He is not a narrator. Listening to this was torture. He should have spent some of his money on a good voice actor. This book had some good points, nothing you wont find on others. I started fast forwarding after listening to how great he is for the hundredth time. This was written to gain subscribers for his newsletters. Go get anything by Brian Tracy or Ziglar instead.

Lean in and listen close, because I'm going to tell you something scandalous: You can have it all. You can have the life that you want, doing work you love, and most important, crafting a legacy that goes beyond anything you can imagine. It's all there for the taking. We live in a time of limitless opportunity … yet it takes courage to step away from what's familiar and into the life we were truly meant to live. No matter what station you're at in this life, we need you.

What a story. I finished this in record time. I was sneaking a listen every chance I had. Spent this Saturday with the tv off...on the edge of my seat...listening to this story. Not sure if the story continues but I will definitely be looking to see..... what a great time I had. I couldn't believe the emotion this brought out..... was that a tear? Geez.

Despite high-minded ideals, temptation always seems to loom around the corner, threatening to derail us into a desperate world of secret behavior and covered-up indiscretions. From families to marriages to businesses, on a scale as global as the credit default swap meltdown or as personal as our last session on the Internet, we are suckers for bad ideas. Why do we so often make poor decisions that can lead to life-shattering results? Why do we promise ourselves to do better only to slide back into our old habits?

this is another one I couldn't make it through. I felt like I was being preached to, not that there is anything wrong with that, just not what I expected. It also seemed to be an advertisement for his website and software.
I made it through 2 chapters then had to give it up. Honestly, I stopped reading reviews because I don't want to be influenced...but I totally should have read about this one before I wasted my money and my time.
Maybe it got better.....I'll never know.

Over 60 hours of interviews with Jack will tell you exactly step by step, how he made a vast fortune in less than three years. No broad strokes in this audiobook. Every step is detailed of how it was done. The story of a true marketing genius and some great lessons for anyone who needs to improve sales or start a business or their own.

Brilliant.... What better way to sell more of your product or get more people to sign up to be a distributor than to have a book written about your story. This book is nothing but an ad for the guy's business. I was able to listen to the whole book at one sitting. There are a few tidbits of good information...basic information about advertising and marketing. The audio quality is tough. You can here the narrator banging on the table..... several times. Again, this is just a 2+ hour ad for the business.....

What if the smartest people in the world understand something that the rest of us don't? (They do.) What if they know that in order to achieve success, they will sometimes have to do things that others may initially perceive as stupid? The fact of the matter is that the smartest people in the world don't run from stupid, they lean into it (in a smart way). In The Power of Starting Something Stupid, Richie Norton redefines stupid as we know it, demonstrating that life-changing ideas are often tragically mislabeled stupid.

This book wasn’t for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?

I couldn't make it through this one. I'm sure there is some good information in there somewhere, I just couldn't find it. She did mention having a flight plan to Blast Off.... which made me think of Brian Tracy's book "Flight Plan". (go get this book instead)

What was most disappointing about Allison Maslan’s story?

I lost count of the number of times I heard the web address.... she lets you know over and over that there is a web program available. Funny, I have no idea what the website is.

How did the narrator detract from the book?

There was no pause when reading segment titles. It drove me crazy. While there was a pause between chapters (and music) I just found it annoying.

Any additional comments?

look her up and check out the website.... thats what she wants you to do anyway. Save the money on the audio.
