The story and plot were mildly entertaining. This is yet another take off on the genre honed by JK Rowling, but with adult action included.

Rarely does a book of this size leave one wishing for more, yet the rollicking adventures shared in this book left me heartbroken and hungry for more as it came to a close. The characters come to life with amazing clarity, their connection to the reader deepening with each chapter. I sincerely hope the next book in the series is due soon to satisfy my adventuring spirit.

I absolutely loved this book. The author obviously knows what it is like to be a hockey player and a hockey parent. Each character and storyline resonated with me on so many different levels that it was difficult to stop listening. My emotions were all over the map, rejoicing one moment then crying the next. I cannot recommend this book enough for those who love the game of hockey or just want to gain a deeper understanding.

I highly recommend the whole three part series. It blended the strong male figure with the devoted female into both main characters. The plot twists kept me entertained and guessing from beginning to end. Well worth the price!

This kept reminding me of the group Maya had on our egos. Our birthrite is bliss eternal, but the ego keeps whispering "go back to the world where all your dreams come from." I am not fond of the Russian accents, but the seeing in Russia fit well with this story. It is an interesting tale that will make you think.

What did you love best about Erotic Stories for Punjabi Widows?

The surprising plot twists.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Erotic Stories for Punjabi Widows?

Either when the woman tied the mechanic down on the hood of the car and had her way with him or the tailor who had an lover made out of bolts of clothe.

What does Meera Syal bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

I never would have experienced Punjabi widows sexual fantasies.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Yes, I had an extreme reaction to this book. We will just leave it at that.

Any additional comments?

This is 50/50 plot and eroticism. It made for a good balance, but not something to listen to with the kids.

This could have been a rousing tale of great adventure, but the narrator kills that mode with his dry intonation. I almost started caring about the extreme situations that the adventurers found themselves in, but the dry recitation killed the mood. The historical facts were interesting as i live near Astoria, but i couldn't get excited about the story no matter how hard I tried.
