Once upon a time, a dark evil crept into my kingdom, stealing my loved ones and the happy life I knew. The world turned against me, and I swore to become stronger, to keep myself safe. Once upon a time, there was a handsome prince, hair dark as ebony, skin as pure as the freshly driven snow, and I became the only one who stood between him and death.

I received this audiobook free, per my request, in exchange for an honest review.

I was hooked from the start and found myself listening every chance I got. I've read or listened to several retellings of classic stories. This is not just your average retelling of one fairytale, even though Snow White is clearly the main base of the story, but had elements from other classic fairytales.

Like all good fairytales it has magic, adventure and love while offering a good example of the importance of family, perseverance and determination.

Having the right narrator can make or break an audiobook for me and Lauren Harris absolutely delivered! The pace was just right and I very much enjoyd how she conveyed each character. It really kept my attention and drew me in more.

I will definitely be reading/listening to more of this series.

Dakar and Theseus are tiny children, caught up in the machinations of others; Glossy makes impossibly difficult decisions for herself and her child; and Marlie struggles with the ghosts of her past and present. All of them will find their places in the world, often far from where they started. For the moment, however, they are doing everything for the first time.

I listened to the first 3 books a couple of years ago. Was excited to find this one and dove back into the series. Had a hard time getting into it first as the narrator from the first 3 has a voice that is unmatchable. After the first few chapters I adjusted and was hooked. Ended on a major cliffhanger, going to start the next one right away!

At once wildly original and stuffed with irresistible nostalgia, Ready Player One is a spectacularly genre-busting, ambitious, and charming debut—part quest novel, part love story, and part virtual space opera set in a universe where spell-slinging mages battle giant Japanese robots, entire planets are inspired by Blade Runner, and flying DeLoreans achieve light speed.
