The plot was full of surprises! One of my new favorite series. I highly recommend listening if you love books like Divergent and Hunger games.

Life has taught Lucas Kendrick, duke of Harndon, that a heart is a decided liability. Betrayed by his elder brother, rejected by his fiancée, banished by his father, and shunned by his mother, Luke fled to Paris, where he became the most sought-after bachelor in fashionable society. Ten years later fate has brought him back home to England as head of the family who rejected him. Unwilling as he is to be involved with them, he must assume responsibility for his younger siblings, the family estate he once loved - and the succession.

Plot was super interesting and different from the norm. I highly recommend this book. The author perfectly conveyed the hold a predator has over his victim.

Governess Abigail Chantry will do anything to save her sister and two dearest friends from destitution, even if it means breaking into an empty mansion in the hope of finding something to sell. Instead of treasures, though, she finds the owner, Lady Beatrice Davenham, bedridden and neglected. Appalled, Abby rousts Lady Beatrice's predatory servants and-with Lady Beatrice's eager cooperation-the four young ladies become her "nieces," neatly eliminating the threat of disaster for all concerned!

Where does The Autumn Bride rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

It is a new favorite author a little behind mary balogh, and lisa kleypas. Im looking forward to more by her.

What was one of the most memorable moments of The Autumn Bride?

I really loved the "Old Lady" she was great throughout...made me chuckle a lot.

What does Alison Larkin bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

nice accent.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

yes...but I don't want to give it away : )

Any additional comments?

I really loved the characters and I am hoping there are more audiobooks to come... wonderful little story.
