I enjoyed this and while I was not expecting some of the events in the book, they all made sense. I can’t wait to see how the new Dark Queen deals with life beyond New Orleans.

I basically enjoy this genre, but this was one of the weakest plots and novels I've ever come across. No substance at all. The narrator was wooden and didn't help "sell" this story. Save your money.

You can count on Ilona Andrews for a great story, good dialog, characters and flow. They are never borrowing, silly or predictable. This was a great conclusion to the Mars family sags and I thoroughly enjoyed listening to it. I will buy anything with her name on it.

As a fan of novels featuring the supernatural, I've gotten a little burned out by the many unoriginal and repetitious stories being published. This series was interesting, original, and kept my interest through the entire series. The characters were well developed and the story line progressed as a good pace. I was very pleasantly surprised by this series and was sorry to reach the end. Great job on the narration as well!

I enjoyed this book, as I do most of Ms Laurens. I don't understand the disparagement of Jill Tanner. I personally liked her narration and did not think it detracted from the story at all. The Bastion Club series is a different twist on the typical Regency novels. I recommend them and Jill Tanner.

Foe Elizabeth Lowell fans, we all know she can spin a good one. The excellent research that went into this novel was obvious - her stories are typically learning experiences as well as fascinating. Good narration and just a very satisfying novel to while away a long car trip. Definitely recommend!

I've always enjoyed J.R. Ward's Brotherhood series, and took a chance on this book. Excellent! It was an enjoyable listen, well thought out and spot on about her horses! I was impressed by her story telling and development of the characters. Well done!!

For sheer entertainment value, this novel was a winner. After the the other two in the series, you had to wonder how it was going to end and what would be come of the Laird. Now we know.

Nice job of narrating overall (even though I admit to missing Simon Prebble's voice in this Stephanie Lauren's novel) and I enjoyed it immensely. No, it's not complicated nor should any of this be taken too seriously. It is what it is - entertaining listening as you go down the road.

I wonder what her next series is going to be about?

While I admit to missing the voice of Simon Prebble, I thought the narrator was okay. I did not find that his voice detracted from the story significantly. The story was a bit slow getting started, and while this was not my favorite of the series, I did enjoy it. Worth it? Yes.
