Born to a prominent Chicago judge and his stifled socialite wife, Mia Dennett moves against the grain as a young inner-city art teacher. One night, Mia enters a bar to meet her on-again, off-again boyfriend. But when he doesn't show, she unwisely leaves with an enigmatic stranger. With his smooth moves and modest wit, Colin Thatcher seems at first like a safe one-night stand. But following Colin home will turn out to be the worst mistake of Mia's life.

It was good but not excellent. It kept my interest but wasn’t super exciting. I still enjoyed it and would recommend it.

It was a good book that kept my attention and kept me interested the entire time. It has a twisting plot with lots of surprises. It goes back and forth from past to present but that kept me on my toes and not wanting to miss a word for fear I’d miss something important. I was only disappointed at the very end where it kind of leaves you hanging. All in all, definately worth the read!

When you listen to this audiobook, you will make many assumptions. You will assume you are listening to a story about a jealous ex-wife. You will assume she is obsessed with her replacement - a beautiful, younger woman who is about to marry the man they both love. You will assume you know the anatomy of this tangled love triangle. Assume nothing. Twisted and deliciously chilling, The Wife Between Us exposes the secret complexities of an enviable marriage - and the dangerous truths we ignore in the name of love.

Gabrielle Ginsberg was a public defender with plenty of nerve and Braden Pierce was an assistant district attorney with a whole lot of swagger. Gabrielle wanted Braden and Braden wanted Gabrielle. I was not impressed. The worst part is that there is no ending at all. It ends in the middle of the story only to continue in the next book.
