In Terry Pratchett's Reaper Man, Death has left Discworld - but that's not necessarily a good thing. After all, chaos always ensues whenever important public services are withdrawn, and Discworld is no exception. Society is suddenly overrun by ghosts and poltergeists, while Dead Rights activist Reg Shoe finds himself busier than he's ever been and newly-deceased wizard Windle Poons rises from his coffin as a living corpse.

Why we think it’s a great listen: An all-time Audible favorite that mixes historic fiction, adventure, and romance with one of the most fascinating literary devices: time travel. Outlander introduces an exhilarating world of heroism and breathtaking thrills as one woman is torn between past and present, passion and love. In 1945, former combat nurse Claire Randall returns from World War II and joins her husband for a second honeymoon. But their blissful reunion is shattered....

I was reluctant to start this book due to the lenght of over 40 hours. Warning to all, you'd want to listen to the whole saga. Very entertaining, that hours go by and you wish there's even more. Unabridged is definitely the best version.

For the handful of scattered Jedi, survival is imperative if the light side of the Force is to be protected and the galaxy somehow, someday reclaimed. Yet more important still is the well-being of the twin infants, Leia and Luke Skywalker, the children of Anakin and his doomed bride, Padme Amidala. Separated after Padme's death, they must be made safe at all costs, lest the hope they represent for the future be turned to horror by the new Sith regime, and the unspeakable power of the dark side.

For years, I yearned for Star Wars audio to be added to Audible and noticed that finally, they are. The narrator is clear and conscise; sound effects are as always, "Lucas approved perfection" and James Luceno has written another great addition to the saga. For those listeners who are not avid Star Wars readers, this book is a great listen. However, people like me who have read just about every book, the abridged addition is a bit of a disappointment. The numerous characters, weapons and "other stuff" in this book can be confusing to some, since there are many but it is a definite must listen especially with the cool sound effects.

War has come to Discworld...again. And, to no one's great surprise, the conflict centers around the small, insufferably arrogant, strictly fundamentalist duchy of Borogravia, which has long prided itself on its ability to beat up on its neighbors. This time, however, it's Borogravia that's getting its long-overdue comeuppance, which has left the country severely drained of young men.

Yes, this audio book is long. But how can anyone possibly abridge the life of this legend? She's my hero, a person who was an independent female before the word feminist was coined. This audio is the kind you would listen to in segments over a few months and maybe come back to listen to over the years. It is very detailed and long, but she's had a very interesting and long life. To anyone she's inspired, famous or not, this barely touches the phenomenon we've known as Julia Child. It's worth listening to.

It fills you in on the characters in general, although it made more sense after I read a couple of the books. Either way, I've enjoyed listening to this audio book several times and definitely recommend it.
