I was so excited to read/listen to this book. Alexandra is such an amazing story teller and I really enjoy her writing style. I especially loved the first four books of this series. Much of the content is difficult to hear and caused feelings of anger and outrage toward what people are capable of and do to others without any sense of remorse. There are real monsters in the world and they are most likely way more prevalent than we want to admit.

The reality of human trafficking is horrendous and the series has done a good job up to this point of telling an intense and suspenseful story with engaging and very likable characters, as well as many despicable easy to despise ones. The first four books do a wonderful job helping to open our eyes to what's going on right around the corner from us all.

For that reason, I was very much looking forward to this book… I feel bad writing a negative review because I think what she has done to shed light on the atrocities that have been going on to women and children, has been a much needed wake up to society.

I just couldn’t get past all the extreme overt political references that seemed to draw me away from the story. To be clear, I didn’t vote for Trump and I'm not a huge fan of his administration either. I’m not a Rep or a Dem and don’t think any party out there has our best interest in mind unless it benefits them financially. For that reason, I don’t normally discuss politics as it seems to do nothing but offend anyone that believes something different than you. You have the extreme left and the extreme right. I think most people in the real world live somewhere in between. I absolutely hate politics and this book is so full of it that I can’t even get through it. The story just seems so muddied with it all.

As usual R.C Bray did a fantastic job narrating the story, but I am returning this one because it has lost what made this series so good.

I can't recommend this highly enough. The story was so well written and engrossing. That combined with the incredible performance of the narrator Luke Daniels, I was blown away. I was so drawn into this story that it felt like it was over before I knew it.

I absolutely loved this book. The narrator did an incredible job drawing me into the story. The only issue I have isn't related to the book itself, but the annoying, cheesy music played loudly at different intervals of the story. This has the had the effect of pulling me out of the story and is very off putting . I cannot stand when audio books do this. Aside from that, I will still recommended this to all my friends.

This was another great story by Andrew Mayne. I was completely drawn into it just like I was with book one. After reading almost everything that Andrew has written, he has quickly become one of my favorite authors.

As for the reading of the story. The narrator Will Damron gives another great performance which I have come to expect from him. He does an excellent job with the characters and makes the listener feel like they are in the story.

Now I can't wait until the third book comes out!
