Ever since the monster apocalypse hit town, average 13-year-old Jack Sullivan has been living in his tree house, which he's armed to the teeth with catapults and a moat, not to mention video games and an endless supply of Oreos and Mountain Dew scavenged from abandoned stores. But Jack alone is no match for the hordes of zombies and winged wretches and vine thingies, and especially not for the eerily intelligent monster known only as Blarg.

Had my children captivated

Instead of playing music on the radio I often play a audible book for my children. They enjoyed the book so much they didn't want to get out of the car. I had alot of fun listening to this book with my children and getting a chance to talk to them on what they thought of the book. It was an unanimous decision. We All Loved It.

I truly loved this series and I was not disappointed with this book. However, he wrapped the book up as if it's the end of the series I am truly hoping it's not the end. Mr. Hayes is such a talented writer with an amazing imagination and Mr. McCarley brought the books to life with his narration that I have started checking out some other books by Mr. Hayes and just like the Powered series they are very interesting. I would love to hear more from Mr. Hayes. On a side note I have found another great narrator in Mr.McCarley and will keep an eye out for him as well.

Their men are being held prisoner in a horrific nightmare dimension, and the only way to reach them is through the radioactive ruins of a monster-infested war zone. As if that wasn't bad enough, it's also the home base of the powerful creature behind the devastating attacks on the Last Dragon and Copper Lake.

I truly enjoyed this book. Earl is one of my favorite characters. So getting a chance to learn more about him and his back story was really great. I also like that this book was mainly about another character, as much as I like Owen it's still nice that the author is letting another character shine in this series.
