There's nothing like a good deli, and the Red River Deli in Trenton is one of the best. World-famous for its pastrami, cole slaw, and for its disappearing managers. Over the last month, three have vanished from the face of the earth, and the only clue in each case is one shoe that's been left behind. The police are baffled. Lula is convinced that it's a case of alien abduction. Whatever it is, they'd better figure out what's going on before they lose their new manager, Ms. Stephanie Plum.

This was by far my favorite book since the "children" have grown up. Full of love, peril, suspense!

Ousted from their most recent archaeological dig and banned forever from the Valley of the Kings, the Emersons are spending a quiet summer at home in Kent, England, when a mysterious messenger arrives.

It's a great story line. I enjoy all of these books. This was my first time listening to an abridged version. Not my favorite version, I like to hear every detail. So if like it short and sweet it will work for you.

Fun book to take you away to another land. A little romance, a little murder, very humorous!
