Would you consider the audio edition of Star Wars to be better than the print version?

Too short when abridged?

Who was your favorite character and why?

Boba Fett gets away with everything, and makes everyone else he deals with mad...and funny, too.

What about Anthony Heald’s performance did you like?

Excellent performance, well paced, voice variation good.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes

Any additional comments?

KW Jeter can put humor into these stories, and make you laugh in the middle of all the terrifying adventures... good writer and storyteller.

This is nothing but garbage, no real plot, but just an attempt at being horribly gross...not worth even $1.00.

An unrepentant rake meets the moralistic miss, and sparks fly across England and France. Seeking to save her sister a disgrace, our heroine sacrifices herself and her reputation, and finds herself at the mercy of a callous libertine. After abducting her to France, then...well, it is a lovely and fun romance, and the narrator is EXCELLENT!

One of Burroughs best

Overall
5 out of 5 stars

Burroughs writes one of his best 'sci fi' works in the Martian series in this follow-up to Princess of Mars, etc. At his most inventive and imaginative, full of surprises and action, it is great to read or listen to. I don't think John Bohlen is the best reader, but is adequate. His female voices are hard to understand. Otherwise, this would be 5 star! It's too bad someone doesn't make this series into movies!!

Fairly raw murder descriptions, but accurate historical detail, thanks to Mr. Carr's historical background. Plot gets you engaged, and you like the main character despite his faults. Good mystery!

Austen is usually a good read...

Perhaps I would enjoy this plot more if the reader had more lively delivery. A generally sad story, of course, in which foolishness is justified by 'social restraint'. A wonder the English ever got together! Still worth reading for the social context.

Brother Cadfael saves again...

Ellis Peters(she, by the way) puts us square into the 11th century with Brother Cadfael in his Shrewsbury Monastery. Good plot, but I find Vanessa a little hard to understand at times. Fair paced reading, though.

Interesting topic, terrible reading..

Why does someone who reads think that a scientific topic deserves a monotonous tone of voice? I simply could not listen long to this narrative without shutting my CD off. Too bad....

I found Richard Matthews to be the reader for "The Patient's Eyes", and he does very, very well.
