Meredith and Nina Whitson are as different as sisters can be. One stayed at home to raise her children and manage the family apple orchard: the other followed a dream and traveled the world to become a famous photojournalist. But when their beloved father fails ill, Meredith and Nina find themselves together again, standing alongside their cold, disapproving mother, Anya, who even now, offers no comfort to her daughters

Loved this story! Very little vulgar language and what was I'd say was used appropriately. Unexpected twists and turns. Surprises right to the end! Very well written.

I found the story interesting, rather easy to listen to, but I was very disappointed by the end. Seems everything is left in limbo. Perhaps this is the first of a series? You might want to check that out, first.

the characters intertwined, made a captivating story, in- spite of the fact that I found one character very self-centered, manipulating and in need of a serious take down. unfortunately, the main character need to grow a pair, and I felt very sad for him much of the time. I think hope that things would turn around, kept me captivated. I'll let you listen to find that out for yourselves!
