Vashti- Thank you for sharing your love story. For that is what was written in this book. I, too can see such beauty in your Spartacus and reading about you I see why he chose you. It was wonderful to go down the road with you and I did watch the series and stopped when I found he wasn't coming on anymore because honestly, I couldn't see anyone taking that role. He embodied it with his heart and soul. Beautiful man, Beautiful Family, Yes, I watched the documentary too. You are brave and courageous. I wish the best and hopefully a different love for the future until you meet again.
Please read this book, I cried, I laughed . It was simply beautiful.

This was a great memoir and the reason why I gravitated toward this book was I heard a podcast on Lewis Howes. She was quirky and had dry humor and just the bit that I heard form her I was like yeah, let me check her out. I liked the book, I truly believe the book was good. Although people want to tell her that she hasn't been through anything I believe the contrary. That is very judgmental and even if you deem her struggle not as intense it is not for you to judge. Her struggles is her struggles just like here in the USA vs someone in Bangladesh. It is all real and true to that person living it and everyone handle's issues in there lives at different speeds. I could relate and take heed or be in agreement with some real truths and I encourage for people to listen and take a step back and see how you can see yourself within her and do better. Point Blank- Wash yo Face!! Love it!!!

Later that night Gary locks Michelle in a cage, tortures her repeatedly, and uses her to quench his voracious and deviant sexual whims. Little does she know that this will become her new reality for the next six years.

Ralph Elllison's Invisible Man is a monumental novel, one that can well be called an epic of 20th-century African-American life. It is a strange story, in which many extraordinary things happen, some of them shocking and brutal, some of them pitiful and touching - yet always with elements of comedy and irony and burlesque that appear in unexpected places.

This book was her truth and it had grit and honesty that is needed. Everybody in there life needs a confidante to listen and give potential advice and based on your beliefs and truly listening to your inner voice ..you can find your truth to make the best decisions. I loved that she was the narrator because it was like we were chatting over some green tea at a cafe. Honestly it lifted me up and put a reset to what I need to focus on and that means being the better me and nothing less.
