Once again Greg Iles delivers a novel so unique, yet real the reader will continue to be challenged emotionally and intellectually. I'm only sorry I've already finished his other books and have to wait to listen to another!

I listen to more than 200 books a year and, although I enjoy most of them, I am rarely surprised by their endings. What a treat to find a novel that continues to have you unraveling twists until the very last chapter! Additionally, they were written so artfully and consistently from start to finish that, once revealed, the info "clicked" into place without leaving the reader feeling like the new information was contrived or inauthentic. Well done!!

I was initially expecting the typical opioid epidemic rhetoric that is commonly used in current fiction, but was pleased at how Child was able to tie in a myriad of those responsible, while remaining true to the Jack Reacher so many of us have come to enjoy.

I really enjoyed listening to this book. The female voices were not done very well and actually detracted from the story.

I listened to this book right after reading the Cold Justice series hoping it would be as well written, planned out and with fully developed and intersting characters as were the books in that series. The narrator threw me at first...I felt like I was listening to a "Dragnet" audio track. I pushed through my initial disinterest hoping the reader reviews I'd read were correct. I'm glad I did! I'm about to start the second book in this series next.

Greg Iles creates and develops another fantastic story. It amazes me how he continually produces such incredible detail on his characters, historical background while constantly maintaining the listeners attention! My biggest fear when starting a long read/listen is that the work won't keep my attention, or that the only reason for the length is because of an abundance of "filler" that can take away from the overall book. Absolutely worth a listen!

As to Dick Hill performance...AMAZING! And that's a big change from my initial opinion! I listen to 3-4 books a week and often get hooked on a series and plow right through it. Very often Dick Hill warrants many books in a series. I sometimes feel that his performance has taken away from the story. I often see raves about how wonderful he is and chalk it up to difference of opinion. Not so anymore! His incredible talents are on display in this performance!

Well done to both Iles and Hill!

I LOVED the 2-part novel gift Patterson gives us with these two! By allowing this drama to play out across two novels the reader gets to enjoy pure literary indulgence as Patterson takes us on a heart-stopping journey with his entire family and pure evil!

LOVED it. Especially the the way Bosch and Mickey came to understand they were half-brothers...even though Bosch already knew. Great story too!
