The Complete 5:2 Fast Diet Recipe Cookbook had some fabulous recipes. These are healthy, fairly easy and fairly quick recipes for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and even dessert. I listened to this after dinner while sitting at my kitchen table and wrote a few down. I made a mental note of the fact that I actually have many of the ingredients and I pictured myself preparing a few of these dishes while listening to this audiobook and I must say that it seems like it would be fairly easy to follow without written recipes. I don't like to stop to read recipes therefore this makes it simple. I 100% plan to try a few of them tomorrow.

A few recipes that I liked the best were berry french toast, buckwheat pancakes, tomato crisp breads, zuccini pizzas, turkey burgers, sweet potato bowl, strawberry granola, and fruit salad. If those few right there don't make you hungry then I don't know. They sound fab to me and there are a whole lot more.

The narration by Catherine O'Conner was pretty good. She spoke very clearly, she gave the ingredients and the instructions perfectly and I will have no problem following.

Sky Marshal and former Army Ranger Sam Savage has just been handed his most dangerous assignment yet, and it has nothing to do with keeping a plane full of innocent people safe while cruising the friendly skies at 35,000 feet. This time, the sky marshal is on the trail of a New Viet Cong terrorist bent on wreaking havoc on a hotel full of American and Chinese businesspeople.

I loved listening to Tunnel Rats. This was a straight through listen for me. An excellent thriller, Tunnel Rats was non-stop action without being overdone. Right from the start it had me hooked. The setting was great with some historical references to POW's of the Korean and Viet Nam wars. But getting to the story, it was exciting with well-developed characters, especially Sam Savage. Now his last name Savage might sound a little cliche but it works so well. As an air marshal/ CIA operative his character was strong but on the other hand subtle. I also liked the supporting characters which there were only a few but Cindy was good. The character Cinny however was sinister. This audiobook worked for me and at the end it mentioned some other books written by award winning author Vincent Zandri that I'd love to listen to.

Andrew B. Wehrlen's narration was spot on. He had the perfect voice for Sam Savage. He was Sam Savage. He had the right voice inflections which made it sound as if he were telling you a story from his own experience. I would definitely recommend this audiobook.

This is the story of a history and tradition as long and complex as any major religion and far older than most. Humanism has traced a conceptual path around Eurasia, holding onto remnants of each place. Today, part of humanism is the spiritual path trod in India, the ethics born in Confucianist China, and the legal system that came forth in medieval Islam. Secular humanism has hidden much of this history from us. This audiobook aims to redress the balance by exploring humanism's path from China, through India, the Middle East, Northern Africa, and finally, Europe.

Humanism: The Untold Tale was an excellent listen. It was thoughtful and thought-provoking and made me realize that things are far bigger than myself and what I know or have known or been taught. I agree that humanism isn't science-based. This audiobook takes you through the ancient past to the truth of humanism. It's highly detailed and comprehensive. Worthy of five stars. I look forward to a book two on this topic. Very interesting.

Chirag Patel again narrates beautifully. He's easy to follow and understand.

Absurd-but-True Animal Stories was indeed what the title says. They were interesting and animals are so funny in whatever they do. I love animals so much as they give unconditional love. It was a nice collection compiled by Kyla Colby. I wish it had been longer. There were a few stories I enjoyed more than others but all were pretty cute.

Jeanie Talbot's narration was okay albeit at times a little raucous to the point it was distracting. This was only with a few stories. She had a great voice when she wasn't over inflecting. I'd still listen to both author and reader.

Growth was a great educational, informative listen. Everything in this audiobook was spot on. It improves health, especially in the elderly. Physical as well as mental. Children of all ages can learn a lot from gardening. I learned things I didn't know about water and soil and insects. I've had a difficult time growing the things I want in my climate and I think this will help.

I love Chirag Patel's books and even listening to him although at first I had to listen closely. He has a nice voice and I like when an author is able to read his own work. Well done!

Self Care: Love Yourself was sooo good. It was just over an hour but as he said, there's no filler. It's all good. If someone is looking for a place to start just for themselves for the new year, this is it. For various reasons people sometimes forget to take care of themselves. Perhaps they think they're too busy or perhaps they think they're unloved but whatever the situation, one must love and take care of theirself. After all, the only person you need to impress is yourself.

This audiobook outlines different things a person can do to begin exploring ways of taking time for themselves. An example that's mentioned is learning a new language such as Italian. One might think they could never do this but they can. Or they can at least try. it's about making you feel good about yourself. Taking the time to be who you are and do what makes you happy.

This was an excellent listen by Aston Sanderson.

Randal Schaffer did an outstanding job narrating. he had a soft compassionate tone that was relaxing.

Red Light Therapy was a good listen with plenty of information to suggest that it works. I have had some experience with this. I have a fairly large hand held red light with heat and it works for pain. Using this for pain is mostly for temporary relief but it definitely helps. As far as the other uses, I'd say that it works just from having one. I am pleased to know all the uses of red light therapy. After listening to this audiobook I got mine out including all the attachments. It's wonderful.

This audiobook was a great reminder as well as an eye-opener to all the things red light therapy can help with.

Frank DiPiazza did a fine job narrating. I had no problem understanding him. An overall good, helpful audiobook.

I enjoyed listening to Wicca for Beginners. At just under two hours I was able to understand exactly what it means to be Wiccan. I have friends who are but I never really completely understood what it meant. There is a difinitive separation between Wicca and other things like it such as maybe chaos magick or dark magick. I think that Aleister Crowley first used the spelling of magic with a k.

I like the way this audiobook went into detail about the word wilt as well as how to cast a circle and bless it and call down the Goddess. It also included divinity and some basic spell casting. One I really liked was the penny.

This was an overall great listen. Margareth Hare did a nice job penning this book. Michele McNeal's narration was excellent. She spoke very clearly and with intention. She had a nice voice and was the perfect reader.

Jack Palms is more interested in tuning up his vintage Mustang than starring in action films these days. Along with his failed marriage and plenty of bad habits, Jack abandoned his acting career three years ago, and life’s just the way Jack wants it: boring. But picking up where Jack Wakes Up left off, Jack now finds himself in the middle of a whodunit in the seedy red-light district of San Francisco’s North Beach. Young girls, shipped as merchandise from Balkan countries and sold to city heavyweights, are turning up dead, and no one knows why.

This Is Life was a good listen. It drew me in pretty fast and I had a hard time stopping it to go to bed. This is Jack Palms Crime, Book 2 and I was able to listen to it as a stand alone but now it made me want to hear book one. Jack is a well-rounded solid character who even with a bad habit or two is still quite likeable. The supporting character of Freeman was also excellent although a bit scary. I liked Jane too.

The setting in San Francisco was a good one and the story, location, and characters were all very cohesive. I like Seth Harwoods writing style, even the song he used. That was cleverly done.

The narration was very well done. The characters had distinct voices and personas but they weren't overkill. They were just right. The main ones being Jack and Freeman but there was also the character named Buddha plus I liked when Jane came in somewhere around halfway or more. All were really good.

Note: I also really like the cover art on this book.

Death and deception: Appearances are often deceiving and that is the underlying premise in this collection of short crime fiction. In "Live Free or Die" naive 21-year-old Emmy falls hard for 31-year-old Jack, an efficiency expert from New Hampshire who is not all what he seems. In "Murder in the Marsh" cyclist Carrie Anne Camack discovers more than she bargained for in the fertile farmlands of Ontario's Holland Marsh. In the final story, "The Cycopaths", a triathlon team's open-water swim training in Collingwood, Ontario, has deadly consequences.

Live Free or Tri was an enjoyable listen. First I liked the title with the Tri in it. All three of the stories were mysterious. It seemed they may have shared a theme and for a pretty quick hour ;ong listen they were good. I know that Judy Penz Sheluk is becoming one of my favorite authors. I've listened to one book in each of her series and this one as well and I love her style.

As the reader for this book, Kate Tyler did an outstanding job. She had great voice inflections with a nice tonal quality that paired well with the stories.

I look forward to the next books in her other two series.
