Award-winning author William Kent Krueger has gained an immense fan base for his Cork O’Connor series. In Ordinary Grace, Krueger looks back to 1961 to tell the story of Frank Drum, a boy on the cusp of manhood. A typical 13-year-old with a strong, loving family, Frank is devastated when a tragedy forces him to face the unthinkable - and to take on a maturity beyond his years.

Loved the innocence of the story and the characters the author skillfully brings to life. We laughed out loud often (more than once had to rewind!) Highly recommend! Narration one of the best we’ve ever heard-and we’ve heard plenty!

An extraordinary debut novel of love that survives the fires of hell and transcends the boundaries of time. The narrator of The Gargoyle is a very contemporary cynic, physically beautiful and sexually adept, who dwells in the moral vacuum that is modern life. As the book opens, he is driving along a dark road when he is distracted by what seems to be a flight of arrows.

If I were only in my twenties that statement would have very little meaning. Although I don’t consider myself a scholar or professional editor or reviewer of literature I can say I have read more than my share of both well written and mediocre novels. I know the difference. This book is one of the most compelling stories you will ever experience. Too bad Mr. Davidson has only written this one book... huge loss for humanity!

The quiet 1960s midwestern life of the Land family is upended when son Davy kills two marauders who have come to harm the family. The morning of his sentencing, Davy (a hero to some, a cold-blooded murderer to others) escapes from his cell, and the Lands set out in search of him. Their journey is touched by serendipity and the kindness of strangers, and they cover territory even more extraordinary than the Badlands, where they search for Davy from their Airstream trailer.

Absolutely loved this book! Well written and quite poetic. Held me captive til the end. A reader's book; one who reads often and knows the difference!
