I should start with I had the first book, but then saw the 4 pack and was sold (it seems there are now 7 books btw). I have listened to just about everything Chris Fox has put out, I think this is better than Void wraith (that I also really liked). there are shapeshifting dragons, space battles, and comic relief what's not to love?

At the edge of known space, Marine Lieutenant Gant Maker continues his vengeful pursuit of the alien race known as the Vacra. Now confirmed to have stolen weapons and tech so advanced that it can’t even be classified, the Vacra represent a menace unlike anything mankind has ever faced. For Maker, the threat is also personal, as the treacherous and cunning insectoids - still smarting from their stunning defeat at his hands during their last encounter - have specifically targeted him for capture, along with his exotic alien companion, Erlen.

I love Kevin Hardman and Michael Naramore, probably my favorite duo currently. I did request this Audi book, but have left this review as unbiased as I can be( but I like these guys!).

The Zee Brothers have a strange and dangerous vocation. While some hunt rodents or pests in the dark, Jonah and Judas tackle much larger prey: zombies. Equipped with a well-loved artillery gun named DeeDee and a much used and somewhat abused pickup truck called Sasha, the duo clear the night of undead pests, keeping the ever-present threat of a zombie apocalypse at bay.

The first thing I felt was an "Evil dead" reference, then it grew into more of a "Tucker and Dale" with a purpose. I really enjoyed the tounge-in-cheek humor combined with the semi-serious buisness the brothers are running. If you want zombies without the extra drama give the Zee brothers a shot. I did request this book from the publisher, and have left this voluntary review.

The job sounded simple enough. Rid the village of an ogre and rescue the girl. In return, the local lord would overlook that ugly business in the church. It was nothing he hadn’t dealt with before. That was before he heard the howls coming from the Bog of Móin Alúin. Before he crossed paths with the headless rider. Before he woke to find the witch’s crooked fingers on his face. Now, Berengar must unravel the labyrinth of secrets and lies surrounding the village before a deadly curse claims his life, all while a darker evil looms in the shadows....

What if you could make a change to history that would eliminate the Spanish Inquisition, American slavery, World War II, global warming, and an egomaniacal US president who thought he was smart enough to drop nuclear bombs here and there without negative consequences? What if that change also made the United States and five billion people poof from existence? Would you do it?

Zachary Quinto - best known for his role as the Nimoy-approved Spock in the recent Star Trek reboot and the menacing, power-stealing serial killer, Sylar, in Heroes - brings his well-earned sci-fi credentials and simmering intensity to this audio-exclusive novella from master storyteller John Scalzi. One day, not long from now, it becomes almost impossible to murder anyone - 999 times out of a thousand, anyone who is intentionally killed comes back. How? We don't know.

Having saved the distant world of Caeles and its interstellar empire - not to mention the life of its ruler, Queen Dornoccia - Jim (aka Kid Sensation), returns to Earth with two notable prizes. The first is his long-missing grandmother, the alien Princess Indigo. The other is Queen Dornoccia’s great-great-granddaughter, Myshtal, who is a princess in her own right and a budding superhero. And thanks to the machinations of the queen, she’s also Jim’s titular fiancee, a fact that puts something of a damper on Jim’s relationship with his girlfriend, Electra.

Five years ago, the US Space Force became a reality. And while those writing the checks took things very seriously, the other military branches did not. As a result, Space Force was populated by undesirables: men and women who made too many mistakes, didn't follow the rules, or...slept with the wrong general's daughter. Three times. On camera. It was a mistake, okay? My name is Captain Ethan Stone, a decorated member of SEAL Team Six turned Space Force "recruit".

The ailiens are ridiculous bad entertaining, and the unlikely group inadvertently chosen to battle for the existance of the human race are a good match. The inner monologues of the characters, and their awareness of narration are very deadpool-Ian (I made that up, I think) and made me laugh more than a few times. If you want a book that doesn't take itself seriously this is it. I do need to mention that I requested this book and have left this review voluntarily in the hopes of helping someone decide if it is a good fit for them.
