Franco sounds bored and boring as he reads this absolutely fantastic book. This is the second book I've listened to with him and he is just awful at narration. But, Slaughterhouse-Five is terrific.

This was definitely a great insight into what Aasif Mandvi's life and career so far have been like. It was engaging, funny and poignant and he certainly does not sugar coat his childhood exploits. I certainly recommend this story, the only downside I can give it is that I was left wanting to hear more.

Joe Ledger novels are never sedate, but Mayberry knocked it out of the park with this one. He pulls no punches and continues to be one of the only authors that can truly terrify me in all the different genres he writes.

My only disappointment is that it wasn't longer. Funny back stories, self deprecation and great advice for both women and men. Highly recommended.

No narrative, just questions & answers. The info is great, but not in audio, even though I adore Wil Wheaton as a narrator.

I'm not usually a fan of autobiographies, or really much non-fiction. But, over the past few years I have really learned to like Amanda Palmer, and I thought I would give the audiobook a listen.
So, wow. I cried more than I have in a long time, but I laughed too, and felt so happy for two people falling in love and an artist working her ass off and making her own path.
I felt like a friend. Thanks for writing this book Amanda. I see you.

I loved all of the stories, and Gaiman's narration was beautiful. The new Shadow story was heartbreakingly wonderful.
That said, I have read most of the stories before. But, to have them all together in one collection is nice & handy.

Shattered Hourglass audiobook cover art

What disappointed you about Shattered Hourglass?

poor writing, too much military jargon, lackluster characters

Would you ever listen to anything by J. L. Bourne again?

no

How could the performance have been better?

i think Snyder did the best he could with this trite nonsense, but really, he's just polishing a turd. in the end, it's still a badly written book.

If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from Shattered Hourglass?

the entire ending was dull, but really so much crap filled the rest (aliens, no real zombie actions, no character development or even emotional inner dialogue).

Any additional comments?

this book was terrible and i would not recommend it to anyone.
