Bob Johansson has just sold his software company and is looking forward to a life of leisure. There are places to go, books to read, and movies to watch. So it's a little unfair when he gets himself killed crossing the street. What a surprise! I do love Sci-Fi, but this far from your typical starships and blasters. The books tech is fun to imagine and you find yourself wishing you had this or that. But the real magic of this book is the character development. Without giving spoilers I will just say that Taylor did a great job of writing humor into many of the scenes and I found myself laughing out loud in the car several times. If you like witty writing, or Ender, or Star Trek (not my favorite), or Star Wars (the relationship between Han and Chewy), or just want to read a good book about exploring our galaxy, this is a treasure.

There is something meaningful about the way OSC writes that has made me a fan for many years. This was another fine piece and a good conclusion to the series.

The performance was outstanding.

I would have given five stars but did not enjoy the parts of the book surrounding the war against Hatamander. It was a small piece comparatively, but it seemed unimportant.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

R.C Bray was good, but the change was not. Please go back to E.B. Stevens for the next book. The one thing I did like about Bray is that he didn't make Alex sound SO unsure of EVERYTHING that came out of his mouth like Stevens did. Bring back Stevens, but give Alex some confidence. That said, the writing and story were still very well done.

Where does Adventurers Wanted, Book 1 rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

This was an outstand start for M. L. Forman. I bought this book for my kids, 8-16, and when I saw their enthusiam for the story, decided to give it a try. I was very impressed with the pace of the book, a great blend of action, suspense, learning, and all the time character building. This is right up there with some of my favorite teenage fantasies. I liked it much better than the Wheel of Time series. Call me crazy.

Any additional comments?

If you are looking to start a series, this is a great choice. After just finishing book 4 I find myself hoping the adventure does not end with book 5. Great characters and plots. Full of magic. Now if I could just get one of those magic bags.

Where does Ender's Game Alive: The Full Cast Audioplay rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

This was a great listen. I was certainly skeptical at first and even a little scared of what might happen with so many performers. It only took a couple of minutes to squash all fears and once again become hooked on the story I am very farmiliar with. We all loved the second perspective Bean gave when Ender's Shadow came out. ALIVE, while not completly jumping into a new character, gives another perspective on the same story. OSC addes nice details in different areas througout the book. Great job OSC. Wish there was more.
