What disappointed you about Reign of Madness?

Not disappointing at all! The story and the reader just keep getting better.

Would you ever listen to anything by Kel Kade again?

Totally! My son and I are eagerly awaiting the next book. (Maybe December???) This was well written with just the right amount of detail and drama with not too much gore. The matter of factual attitude of the main character is charismatic and mysterious. Really like how the story is evolving and look forward to the next book.

Would you be willing to try another one of Nick Podehl’s performances?

Yes! He does a great job with both male and female voices as well as cultural shifts.

What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?

This book reminds me why I love adventures and mysteries. Listening has inspired family discussions about chance vs. choice and how leading by example is so powerful.

Any additional comments?

Entertaining and though provoking.

What did you love best about The 39 Clues, Book 2?

We had the first book in hard copy and read it together as a family. We couldn't wait for the library or purchase delivery. Unanimous that all wanted the audio book so we could just dream the story in our heads together. The clarity of the voices, the just right sound effects (not too much or too little) and just the suspense of the story is great! Definitely five stars in our family. We are going to continue alternating reading out loud and listening.

What other book might you compare The 39 Clues, Book 2 to and why?

This was our first audio book and it was wonderful.

What about David Pittu’s performance did you like?

Excellent!!

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

YES! We did this.
