This was such a dark book. I’m not sure how this series will end except in deep sorrow. The plots of the commandant are so dark that I’m not sure where or what she really wants. Im not sure who is in control her or the night bringer. The scholars are on their own. Elias is now out of their reach with his duties to the dead. I’m in despair for the plebes. Book 4 is much needed at this point.

This is a brutal world where warring clans fight to the death for no apparent reason other than they worship different gods. This story is of a young warrior woman who meets her brother fighting with the enemy. She follows and gets captured. It is an interesting look into the hearts of a clan that have more in common than they knew. I loved every moment.

When living in a world where the prince isn't always charming, the princess has a mean right hook, and angels are worshiped like gods, love isn't always easy to find. Zoe has never been the lady-like princess she's read about in fairytales, even with her very own handsome prince to sweep her off her feet. She doesn't know what she dislikes more, his arrogant smirk or the way his grey eyes darken when they fight. Angels help him if he thinks he could tame her.

Any self respecting woman would’ve castrated Asher. I’m not into slut shaming but he was a man whore. The plot had promise but it circled back to the non romantic story line. When her maid shamed her into accepting his treatment I said that’s enough. I’m trying to make it thru but don’t know how much more I can take. I thought this was a fantasy not smut.

McAllister Stonewall was never on my radar; I didn't even know he existed. I do now. His hands are all over me at work. The heat of his chest pressing against my bare back as he bends me over the desk is the only thing on my mind. He is my most forbidden desires unleashed. He is my new secret obsession. He is my Mr. Perfect. Until the moment I realize there's no such thing as perfect.

This has been one of my favorite series I've the last couple of years. Morning Star was my most anticipated books this year and it did not disappoint. This was a dark look at the under belly of revolution. It did not depict the glory and ease of battling tyrants. It was gory dam bloody with losses on both sides. Darrow had to weigh the price of freedom with the sacrifices expected of him. This was not any easy journey. I can finally breath. I think I held it through the whole book. I'm surprised I didn't pass out. The author orchestrated this whole series into a pure fantasy masterpiece. This is one that I will read again and highly recommend it to all fantasy lovers.
