Story
Speedy probably had a last name, but no one knows it--a young man, a loafer, a drifter, a tramp. He does not usually use a gun, although in "Nighthawk Trail" he does, but it is only an elaborate illusion. Speedy is regarded as one of the most dangerous men in the West. The object of his quest is to find the great horse Nighthawk, bought for $7,000 by old Joshua Crane.

The quest is not what it seems

What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?
The audible description could have been slightly accurate.
What other book might you compare The Quest to and why?
All other Max Brand books
Which scene was your favorite?
dont know
You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?
Yes, it is a good Max Brand. Just wish I had not already read/listened to it.
Any additional comments?
The three stories in the description are NOT in this book. I was very disappointed. The three stories are in fact:
Paradise Al
Paradise Al’s Confession
and
The Quest which is also included in another audible book called Trouble in Timberline.

Story
These are the 13 best known and respected short works of Stephen Crane. George's "Mother and The Monster" are particularly highly regarded but rarely read and almost never listened to. In addition, this audiobook includes "A Dark Brown Dog", "A Great Mistake", "An Experiment in Luxury", "An Experiment in Misery", "An Ominous Baby", "Flanagan", "His New Mittens", "The Five White Mice", "The Knife", "The Men in the Storm", and "The Veteran".

Any additional comments?
There are two VERY large gaps near the middle of the book.. Totaling around 15 minutes. Very poor production.
