This was worth every moment I spent listening. I was Completely taken along as the story unfolded. The narrator did a fabulous job. I will look for more books that she has narrated and also for more books this author has written as this was a first for both of them with me. I somehow feel very enriched by this story and it made me look at a lot of things in a different way.

Oh how I love this series! This simply cannot be the end...we need a story about Barclay and the rest. I said it about A Name Unknown, SO Clever and witty, and so beautiful. And The Lord running like a thread throughout the whole thing. I really like the imperfections of the people in The Family and their tenacity and love for each other. And Liz Pearce brings it all to life! II usually like the voices of the characters in my own head when I read a book, but honestly, the experience could not have even come close to how Liz reads this. Brava Liz Pearce! Please Roseanna M. White, give us more!

What made the experience of listening to The Prayer Box the most enjoyable?

It just kept unfolding with hope. I also thought the narrator was the perfect voice for all the characters, other reviewers had difficulty understanding her but I did not. I actually don't think anyone could have done it more justice.

What did you like best about this story?

I liked the whole thing, it was so interesting with so much depth, and so many layers yet it had a gentleness to it. I loved how the family of Tandi went from utter brokenness and hopelessness to hope and later actually healed as a unit and loving and believing in themselves and each other...and of course, the thread of God running throughout.

Which scene was your favorite?

The ending! I never saw that coming!

If you could rename The Prayer Box, what would you call it?

No other title would do.

Any additional comments?

I will definitely be reading more by this author and listening to this narrator. Well done to you both!

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Yes...it had a great message but also some fun and left me feeling good. Some great Christian fiction out there can leave you so drained and is so full of tragedy that it gets tiring.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Can't choose as their were several 'favorites'.

Have you listened to any of Jeannie Stith’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

No, this was my first but she did a WONDERFUL job. I do not think the book would have been as good if I had physically read it as I could not have given the Irish characters such great voices even in my head. I would look for more books with her as the narrator.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Both....but my real reaction was joy and anticipation at finding a new author who could pack a punch with the message but still make me laugh. I haven't really found that since the MITFORD SERIES of books by Jan Karon.

Any additional comments?

I know this was a young adult book but I am a 53 year old grandmother and found this book very, VERY entertaining! We'll Done Jenny B. Jones! I will buy more from this author and narrator.
