I enjoyed the second and fourth book the most in this book bundle due to the more likeable MC and continuously enjoyable story. The other two book SAS were not bad but I just did not click with them like the others.

This book was quite an improvement over the second book for a couple of reasons. The first being the end of the second consciousness from the first two books and the other being there is a lot of character growth in the MC.

When the aliens came down and told us they’d enslave all of the human race if we didn’t send our bigliest warrior to participate in their arena death games, I laughed at them. It was really funny because they obviously didn’t know who they were dealing with. Know what I mean? Then they said they would pick the greatest warrior, and they picked Marc Havak. He seemed like such an average guy, but he was a true-blue American. He even worked as a truck driver! That’s the kind of good guy we want defending us from aliens.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book due to the fact it was a great blend of action as well as a great supporting cast around the MC. Another great plus for the author is he didn't shy away from sex but it was in no way graphic like some authors like to make it.

Danny died a less than heroic death on Earth, was reincarnated in a new world, gained access to a mental sanctuary that ranks his skills, learned he can do magic, discovered that he can't fly, tricked rich old ladies into buying handbags, crafted himself a crude anti-magic girdle, went to magic school, grew a couple of apple trees, was drafted into a secret paramilitary organization, tamed a pet most people would rather never meet, regrew an elf's ears, gained a split concentration ability in the form of his former Earth self, and much more.

Most people have to work for years to achieve their ultimate goal. Be it wealth, status, or power, nothing comes in a single day. For Edison Elder, this couldn’t be farther from the truth. On the night of his Awakening, Edison was originally delighted to discover that he was chosen by the Beings, a mysterious race of all-powerful and inquisitive creatures, to form a Deal and become a Player. Becoming a Player would allow him to take part in the Game, a solution imposed by the Beings to stop wars, and bring his family out of poverty. However, his joyous moment was ripped from his hands as he's offered an ultimatum: extreme power in exchange for his own death.

Gabriel Delling might call himself a professional con artist, but when walking superstitions start trying to bite his face off, his charm is shockingly unhelpful. It turns out living nightmares almost never appreciate a good joke. Together with a succubus who insists on constantly saving his life, Gabe desperately tries to survive a new reality that suddenly features demons, legends, and a giant locust named Dale - all of whom pretty much hate his guts. And when an ancient horror comes hunting for a spirit locked in his head, Gabe finds himself faced with the excruciating choice between death...or becoming some kind of freaking hero.
