She'll need the help of not one, but four (sexy) Guardians to control her destructive powers. If only they weren't so distracting.... Her mother, the Winter Queen, waits for Wyn in the Realms of Gods, but there are enemies who will try and prevent her from ever reaching the Realms, even if that means going to war.

This was the first book I've read/listened to by Skye MacKinnon and I absolutely loved it! Winter is so realistic. She is not perfect, but tries to do the right things. Ms. MacKinnon's writing makes you think that you're right there with Winter, seeing and feeling everything that she does. Laurel Schroeder did a wonderful job with the narration. She has a beautiful voice and you could tell the characters apart. Can't wait for the next book!

Rumors run rampant over what really happened to his pride, but the truth has hardened Beast's heart to stone. I just can't get enough of TS's books! The story is so well written that you lose yourself in it. This is the third book in Kane's mountains and features Beast and Kiera. While each new book is always my favorite, Air Ryder has held a special place in my heart. Beast just pushed him out of the way and has successfully taken over the #1 spot as best book boyfriend. I'm sure Air Ryder will understand that being second isn't too bad since he's still near the top.

During every book I read by TS, I think the same thing, "this one is my favorite". Every story of hers has you laughing, crying, and sighing in contentment. The characters are REAL. They are far from perfect, just doing their best to protect those they love and enjoy life. Ava Erickson did a great job bringing Winter's and Logan's story to life. This is the first of 3 set in Kane's mountains.

Twenty ships have left the gravitational field of the Earth with the intention of colonizing Mars. Each is independent of the other and set to become domed cities upon landing. The mission is simple: go forth to develop the new planet, make it an extension of our home. Well, it sounded simple. No one expected life on Mars to be easy, they are pioneers and that is a type of life that comes with dangers. What they didn't expect was for the settings of one of the ships to be off enough to miss their landing, to miss the very planet they were meant to settle.

I could easily picture the spaceship, world, and it's inhabitants in my head. Brian Callanan did an excellent job at narration. He has a great voice, was easily understood, and kept my attention. Overall a perfect for this book. I can't wait for the next to come out on audible!

It began on New Year's Eve. The sickness came on suddenly, and spread quickly. The fear spread even faster. Within weeks, everything people counted on began to fail them. The electrical grid sputtered; law and government collapsed - and more than half of the world's population was decimated. Where there had been order, there was now chaos. And as the power of science and technology receded, magic rose up in its place. Some of it is good, like the witchcraft worked by Lana Bingham, practicing in the loft apartment she shares with her lover, Max.
