Toni’s no stranger to making mistakes. She has experienced firsthand how walking down the wrong path can send life spiraling out of control. Fortunately, she had someone to drag her from the gutter and help set her on the right track. Toni and Zach are opposite in every way or so we think. Toni grew up in a very religious family with parents who thought bikers were beneath them and wouldn't even let them into their diner. When they pass away and leave the diner to Toni she instituted some changes: Bikers are allowed at the diner!! This means that the once uptight surroundings are now biker friendly and her new neighbor across the way, Zach will get to see her more often by going in every chance he gets.

Zach's always wanted to be a brother and nothing was going to keep him from it. He worked hard to get to where he was and it showed. So when he finds out that his new neighbor is the ex of someone that's an enemy of the club...what's he gonna do?

My thoughts on this series that's just starting out is that it has potential. There are a few things about the heroine I found unsettling but I let it go because this is fiction and that's what you do - you suspend belief for a while. Now, had I been reading a hard core biker series I probably would have raged against the machine. Alas, it wasn't meant to be.

Now, about the Narration - I thought it was exceptional!! I loved both Erin and Noah as Zach and Toni. I thought they did a wonderful job showing the emotional sides of their characters. I've said it several times that narration makes or breaks a book and that's so true. It can bring you into the story and take you out of the story with just a couple of inflections.  I found myself listening to this at work (which is frowned upon) and in the car, at the gym and while going to bed. It was done so well that I can't wait to listen to Maverick.  I really want all the Club Girl Diaries if I'm being honest.

I received this audiobook as part of my participation in a blog tour with Audiobookworm Promotions. The tour is being sponsored by Lilly Atlas. The gifting of this audiobook did not affect my opinion of it.

Life can change in the blink of an eye. And every choice can unravel more of the truth. One split second decision after a lifetime of lies has created a world so confusing, happily ever after isn't guaranteed. Not even when the stars align and the pieces fit perfectly into the puzzle. This time, I'll have to fight for love with a vice clamping my heart and a gaping hole swallowing my soul. Absence won't make the heart grow fonder.

I review a lot of books and audiobooks and it pleases me when I find a gem. This was that! Let's start off with the narration - I'm picky with my narrators so at any time if they take me out of the book...I'm out. I didn't do it in this book! I found Sarah Puckett to be soothing when she needed to be and to switch characters when she needed to. She enunciated but didn't overpronounce her words - some do that and it bothers me. She always had emotions that matched the book. I really enjoyed that. Overall, I thought she did tremendously and am checking out her other work.

Now, the storyline - I will NOT be giving anything away. This is a book that kind of took a turn that I didn't expect and it was amazing the way it's told. I fell in love with the characters and I love little Laney and I loved Garrett. This is a book where you will feel every single emotion - you will get angry, you will cry, you will be happy and sad, but you will also feel tremendous completion at the end. It's a journey that you'll want to take no matter how much you know it'll hurt. I don't think I've ever rated five-stars for all and this is one of those books. You won't be sorry you read it!!

I've read Darcy Burke before, but never listened to any of her Untouchables series...Oh what a fool I've been!! It was soo good and I'm such a picky listener. If you have a whiny voice or have one thing that takes me out of the story - I'm out. I'm that ADHD when it comes to listening, so I was pleasantly amazed when I got to read this. I've never heard Marian Hussey narrate before and if that's legit NOT her real accent...I'd be really shocked. THAT is what kept me in the story, she did other voices and emotes so well that I didn't have to wonder who she was doing. People know I've been given an audio to review and absolutely hated and said it - so I'm honest about it but this was spectacular.

Okay, about the story itself. This has some drama, romance and suspense (sidenote I love suspense!!!) Verity believes that her husband from America is dead from the war and her and her young son are just now settling down. She's out from her tyrannical father's rule, but then the extraordinary happens...her husband Rufus shows up and he's not the same man he was when he left. He's been tortured in America and he's brought that home with him, but he tries to convince Verity that he wants to give her a different lifestyle!! I mean, wouldn't you? His only thought is to give Verity a good home and she's very leery of that and makes it known. He brought back those scars, the trauma and with it some secrets that he feels he can't tell her - so he doesn't!! There's one particular scene where his interaction with his son was so overwhelming I wanted to cry.

This is the ninth book - think about that and there's no slowing down that I can see and I'm coming in on the ninth! So, for me personally to be immersed in this world and storyline and think that it was THIS good being the ninth in the series...I'd kind of like to read/listen to the first.

Ann Hackstetter first met Jackson Martinez while vacationing at Lazy M Dude Ranch with her husband and teenage son. Part of the "dude" package was a night of fun at Boot Bustin' Barn. At the time, Ann suspected that Sage Tanner, owner of Lazy M, bribed Jackson to ask her to dance as a way of making her inattentive husband jealous. On a whim, she danced with him. Little did she realize he would awaken emotions long suppressed. Of course, she ignored those emotions. Now, five years later, she's a widow--a destitute widow. Over the years, her son's friendship with Sage's daughter, Julie, has blossomed, and now they're getting married. Wedding responsibilities have temporarily taken Ann's mind off her desperate situation. At the reception, Jackson asks her to dance again--reawakening those emotions. He makes her feel twenty-one, instead of forty-one.

Experience all the feels in this unforgettable second-chance standalone romance from number-one New York Times best-seller Lauren Blakely! I didn't break her heart, and she didn't break mine - we broke each other's. I never stopped loving her, but time and distance played its cruel role in ripping us apart three years ago when she moved halfway around the world. Now after all those endless miles away, she's returned...but I'm not the guy I was before.

Unbreak My Heart was unlike any book I've ever read or heard by Lauren Blakely. It had heart, heartbreak, it pulled at the heartstrings and hit emotional highs and lows that I didn't think I would want to hit. We begin the book after the death of Ian, Andrew's brother. Andrew is in the midst of his grief and he's just going through the motions of living, but he's not really living. Holland has come back into his life at a time when he's got a lot of questions. Questions he needs to get to the bottom of. Some answers he might not want to know. He and Holland go on a journey to Tokyo to find out why Ian stopped taking his medication when he should have been on a regimen for his cancer and instead all the pills are still in his bottles. Secrets are let out of the bag, but will they make Andrew feel better?

First of all, I've never listened to a book like this from Lauren Blakely and that's a good thing! Usually, her books are fluffy romances known for their funnier plotlines and this book had a robust storyline, strong characters and extraordinary narrators! I mean, the narration itself was 5 stars but then the story just added that much more to it. Joe Arden did such a fantastic job, but who really stood out was Erin Mallon - that woman reads a man's role better than a man. Seriously, after listening to Joe Arden and Erin Mallon for all those hours, I surmised that Erin did a man better than Joe. Her chapters were so full of emotion that at times I was left breathless waiting for the next chapter. As everyone knows great narration can make a book and bad narration can break it...this made the book. I would highly recommend this to anyone who enjoys audiobooks or even who doesn't but wants to try them. This is a great place to start.

I used to be a die hard KA fan but lately is seems like she's lost that loving feeling!! Literally the first two thirds of the book are nothing but gratuitous sex and the last third is a formulaic letdown. Now, let's get to the narration - it kind of saved the story because it was sooo much better than the story and I was really tempted to return this as soon as I listened to it. I'm still contemplating it. It was that bad a storyline. It had domestic abuse with the main couple and I DON'T support that at all. If that's a hard limit for you - don't even listen to this!

I've waited years for my drop-dead sexy boss, Tristan Hunter, to notice me as something other than his right-hand gal. But though his dog is deeply in love with me, Tristan and I seem doomed to the friend zone. Until the night we kiss... It's all a ruse, of course - our make-out session is for the benefit of the two heartbreakers who dumped us - but very real sparks fly when his lips meet mine. At least...they're real for me.

I'm really hard to please - I know this, however, this book was - Oh my gah!! That's how this book read the entire time. I really thought the Male Narrator read better as a woman than he did as a man. As a man, he seriously came off as a creeper. I will say that my mother and I had many laughs with this books because every time the male voice came on - we cracked up. He legit sounded like a serial killer (think Ted Bundy for the win) and I just couldn't enjoy that. Plus, this dude is supposed to be in his fifties and the heroine is in her supposedly "thirties" and she sounded like she was written for a eighteen year old...yeah nah.

Behind the badge and the pretty face was a heart. A heart that bled just like the rest. A heart that was so in love with Viddy Sheffield that it was humiliating. Trance had been burned before by a woman that couldn't handle the fact that he risked his life each and every time he went on shift. She was too vulnerable; somehow, he had to convince his heart to let her go. His life would chew her up and spit her out. Viddy couldn't get the man out of her head. Just the thought of Trance put a smile on her face. And when he walked into the same room? Words couldn't explain.

I loved this book on Audible as much, if not more than the written word. I loved Mason Lloyd's performance in this, he does such a wonderful job all the time but this was just extremely well-done. I started crying in the epilogue and then in the end because I knew Radar died in Center Mass. The way the narrators did the cast of characters were spot on. Well done!!
