I don’t want Jason Vega. Not at all. It’s the worst idea ever. Ah, hell... Jason is handsome. Smart. Dangerous. Hot. He’s goddamn gorgeous - but he’s also sleeping on the street, hanging out with the local biker gang, and selling his body for a living. Our lives, our paths, couldn’t be further apart. I’m crawling toward the light while he’s falling into the dark. But it doesn’t matter how different we are or what logic dictates.

Jo, once you got going, you caught me. The character development was strained for me for a little while, and I honestly came close a few times in the first half on giving up, but when I was just about to call it quits, you intrigued me with "something". Glad I stuck it out. It's a powerful story in so many ways. And overall, it is a memorable read.

Teddy/Iggy, good job.

Listener, try this book, and hang in there with the characters. It is not for the squeamish or faint of heart, some of the subject matter is really intense, and yes, I mean really intense, but it was well worth the push thru to the last half...well worth it.

Among the few possessions he carried was a sheet of paper with Amelia's name and room number.

It was in places definitely not Elizabeth, but Joan, you did an excellent job at recreating that brilliant mind...of not only Elizabeth, but of her characters. Good job...I know it was a hard one, but you did a good job. Well done.

Barbara, your voice is one of a kind and I could visualize many of the characters as you brought them to life. Very good.

Listener, you may not get "full out Elizabeth Peters" but I can tell you this, after reading all of the series, open your mind, listen to your Ameila heart, and dive in. it's good. If for no other reason to honor Elizabeth Peters. That's what Joan did, and she did it with style and grace. Amelia wouldn't have it any other way.

J.F. , perfect. Absolutely perfect!

Listener, the series is best understood if read from beginning thru to the last book, but you could read this one standalone and enjoy it. An excellent work by Josh Lanyon and J.F. Harding. Highly recommended especially if you are a Lanyon fan!

Cooper/Tyler, Good job guys! Both of you found a balance that worked off of each other.

Listener, I gave this 5 stars because I appreciate Tibby's imagination into this paranormal world. If you're looking for a different take on Vampires, hunters, witches, and the like, I think you'll enjoy this one. It's a gay romance with the sex acts limited..which is a pleasant surprise and change all unto itself!

It has become increasingly difficult for me to read straight to gay romance novels, most of them are, for we gay men, the "um, huh". kind of reaction. You, however, have mesmerized me with the way you flow this particular series. I must admit, the sex stuff is good, very good in fact, but I could use a little less and more of the fantastic story lines you have created for this series.

Joel, good job. I can see these folks sounding like the characters you are protraying. Good job.

Listener...if you are faint of heart, these stories may throw you down on the ground and stomp on you a bit, because the subject matter is intense and vividly described. Of course, if you want lots of sex mixed in with your intensity, you got it with these folks.

You can read these books separately, but I don't think you'll appreciate the fullness of the stories if you do. So start from the first one and get thru them.

Now for the 3rd in the Series...
