I'm Ash Evans. The life of the party. Hot. Rich. Charismatic. A tattooed rock star with the world at my feet. I burn through women faster than the strike of a match. I've embraced my lifestyle and live it to the fullest. Until the day my lifestyle caught up to me. Willow Langston found me at my lowest. Literally. Facedown in a puddle of my own blood. I owe her my life and I have three months to repay that debt. What I never should have done was touch her. Kiss her. Take her to my bed. Love wasn't supposed to be a part of the equation.

Now Emmaline Carson has settled into her career as a graphic designer, though she'd rather be painting or shopping with her sister Layla. But then - in the years before she went to art school in Paris - she was a shy, awkward teenager with frizzy hair, a flat chest, and a massive crush on the boy across the street, Cole Marlowe. Too bad her incredibly hot neighbor only had eyes for Layla.

Football star and Internet sensation Gavin "Anaconda" Adams is the biggest celebrity our little town has ever seen. But I had no idea who he was when I accidentally walked in on him naked. I was shocked, seeing all of him, a cocky grin on his face. I didn't know what to do. So I ran. No matter what I do, I can't get that image out of my head. To make matters worse, Gavin wants a date with me.

Bad male narration

Overall
1 out of 5 stars

Reviewed: 01-07-19

The male voice is so off putting for the character he is reading. He sounds like he is 50 or older and his female impersonation made me cringe. I dont know if it was mostly his voice or the unrealisticness of the story, but I could not finish.

I'm assigned to help superstar tight end, Duncan Hart, rehab his elbow. His chiseled features melt the hearts of women everywhere, including mine. There's just one problem. Duncan's an asshole, with an ego the size of a football stadium. He lives for the roar of the crowd. He thrives on it. And he wants to let me experience the Hart attack - yes, he has a name for it. But that's not going to happen. At least, that's what I keep telling myself.

The narrator was very disconnected. Her male voice was horrific. So much so that I could not get into the male character. In the intimate scenes she was so rushed. The story lacked any real substance and maybe that was accentuated because the narrator was so bad, not sure, but I could not finish the book.
