Nestled in the woods of Wisconsin, Safe Haven is miles from everything. With one road in and out, this is a town so peaceful it has never needed a full-time police force. Until now... A helicopter has crashed on the outskirts of town and something terrible has been unleashed. A classified secret weapon programmed to kill anything that stands in its way. Now it's headed for the nearest lights to do what it does best. Isolate. Terrorize. Annihilate.

This audiobook is great. I love the writing...scary, gory, but with unexpected laughs for good measure.
Jack Kilborn is a favorite author of mine and never disappoints!
I can't say enough about Phil Gigante. He is probably my favorite narrator, and always pulls me into the story so much so that I have found myself just standing still and listening to a good part!

In an isolated stretch of Eastern Kentucky, on a hilltop known as Blade Ridge, stands a lighthouse that illuminates nothing but the surrounding woods. For years the lighthouse has been considered no more than an eccentric local landmark - until its builder is found dead at the top of the light, and his belongings reveal a troubling local history.

I really enjoyed this book! It is well written and the characters seem to have depth. My favorite part of the book is the way that Koryta has used the big cats' emotions to drive the story's suspense level.
I hope to hear more from this slashers, no graphic sex scenes (come on people, we know what happens), and no gratuitous gore.
Also, I don't see too many well-written ghost/horror novels out there right now, so discovering this author is great...can't wait for the next one!
