Deacon Hunter is domineering, condescending, and infuriating. And yet I can’t seem to keep my panties on for five minutes when we’re alone together. He keeps melting them right off. With that sexy voice, those confident hands, the way he brings my body wildly to life, he’s proved my libido hasn’t gone into permanent post-divorce hibernation after all.

I loved this series. I only got the first book, the Baby Maker, because of the narrator - Sebastian York (I love Andi Arndt's narration too, she is so talented, but it's Sebastian's voice that causes breath quickening, face flushing and dilated pupils. BTW, my husband now knows exactly when it's SY's voice speaking into my ear buds. AND has used this to his advantage on a couple of occasions - sneaky man!) All that aside, I got the next two books (also narrated by Mr. York and Ms. Arndt) enjoy those as well and was pleased when I saw The Panty Melter on Audible. However, there is one problem with all four books, I can't stop listening and end up consuming the entire book in one sitting.

I don't mind cliff hangers as long as the next installment is available and in this case it is, but in print and not on Audible, so not available to me. Hopefully, it will be soon and the male narrator is the same as the first three books. The narrator was Sebastian York. He was as great as Peter. The female narrator is not my cup of tea - doesn't mean she's bad, just means I didn't get into the character as much as if the female narrator was Andi Arndt or Saskia Maarleveld, but the story was compelling enough to keep me listening.

Greece in the age of heroes. Patroclus, an awkward young prince, has been exiled to the kingdom of Phthia to be raised in the shadow of King Peleus and his golden son, Achilles. “The best of all the Greeks”—strong, beautiful, and the child of a goddess—Achilles is everything the shamed Patroclus is not. Yet despite their differences, the boys become steadfast companions. Their bond deepens as they grow into young men and become skilled in the arts of war and medicine—much to the displeasure and the fury of Achilles’ mother, Thetis, a cruel sea goddess with a hatred of mortals.

11 hours and 15 minutes flew by. I often listen to books all in one sitting, but not 11-hour books unless they are exceptional, this book was exceptional. However, it wasn't just the book, it was the narrator, Frazer Douglas, who made 11 hours fly by. It was interesting to me that the Goodreads rating for this book was just a shade under the better rating on Audible. I think that's directly related to the narration.I'll be looking for more audiobooks written by Madeline Miller as well as books narrated by Frazer Douglas.

I enjoyed the series, but like others I was really disappointed that in the first few books (in this series) Sebastian York's part was next to nothing. There are many listeners, like me, who buy Audio books because Sebastian York is narrating. For the description to be less than honest about his involvement feels deceptive. The description should have said featuring Sebastian York or pro log narrated by Sebastian York. Fortunately, Wolf's Mate and Crossroads had Sebastian York doing at least 50% of the narration and it enhanced the story and the characters. Eva Christiansen is very talented, and did fine job in all the books. However, she has a habit of going a little over the top with some of the female characters, giving the narration a too loud stilted quality and oh Eva you are so much better than that .

I have over a thousand audio books in my library. For some that may seem a small number, but I think it's big enough to give me a little street cred as a long time listener. As a long time listener I have opinions and one of them is, not all authors should be narrators. Just understanding the material or having the passion doesn't always check the boxes for a good narrator particularly as this relates to fiction narration. That said, Rachel Hollis does a great job narrating Party Girl, so much so that if she doesn't already I think she needs to be a narrator for other authors.

As for the book, I very much enjoyed it, so much so that I'll be getting the next in the series.

Grant Malone is not the reason I moved back to Sunnyville - at least that’s what I tell myself. Yet, those parting words I said to him back in third grade ring in my ears every time a towns-person brings up one of the Malone boys. I thought time had healed my wounds. I was wrong. Nothing could have prepared me for how I felt when I finally saw him again. Twenty years does a lot to turn a boy into a man. One who hits all my buttons - sexy, funny, attractive, and a police officer.

I think she does fine with male voices, but her female voice is actually kind of annoying to the point that I had to stop listening at one point. Maxine, please, you are clearly talented enough to lose the affected quality to your narration - you don't do it with the male voice, why do you do it with your female narration?

How long does it take to get over your first love? Eight years should be long enough. My mind knows that, but there's no convincing my heart. Guys like Joel weren't supposed to fall for girls like me. He had his pick of women at University, but somehow the laws of nature were defied and we fell crazy in love. After graduation, Joel left to pursue his career in New York. He wanted me to go with him but my life was in London. We broke up and my heart split in two. I haven't seen or spoken to him since he left.

I really enjoy Louise Bay books, but this one didn't do it for me. It isn't that the characters or the story are lacking - I liked both, but not as a full length novel. It got to the point that the female protagonist's issues were annoying. I don't think my reaction to her struggles would have been the same if they weren't trundled out over, and over, and over again. I think that this novel is really more of a short story or a novella. This is my opinion and not a universal truth. I know some folks will enjoy the very thing I dislike and time spent with Louise Bay books could never be wrong.

I believe in love. It just doesn’t believe in me. I date. I’m all for giving guys a chance. I’ve just never met the one. Until on a spring morning in the English countryside, a tall, dark stranger emerges from the mist. Logan Steele is all tousled hair, hard chest, and lips so perfect I want to reach out and touch them, just to check they’re real. Did I mention he’s an Earl with a self-made fortune? But when I find out Logan Steele is out to destroy everything I’ve dedicated my life to protect, the chemistry disappears and the hope that had blossomed my chest turns to rage.

I like Louise Bay stories, I believe that I have every (English) title offered by Audible. I also like, well, actually really like Shane East and have purchased many of the Louise Bay titles because he was the narrator for the British male character's chapters. This book is solid. A likeable female protagonist introduced in a previous book and a male protagonist to get excited over particularly in the capable hands of Shane East. My problem is (and this is most likely a personal preference) that I couldn't adjust to Imogen Church's narration. I believe that I would have liked the character better in the hands of Saskia Maarleveld.
