Ever since he saved Dr. Mackenzie Grant's life, panther, shifter, and sorcerer Kalen Black has had trouble keeping the beautiful doctor out of his thoughts and his heart. The brush with death awakened an intense passion between them - one that for the first time had the notorious loner letting down his guard. With the Alpha Pack battling an evil Fae who is slowly gaining control over Kalen's mind, Kalen can no longer trust his own actions, and he breaks off his affair with Mackenzie in order to keep her safe. But when Mackenzie learns that she is carrying Kalen's child, no amount of danger will keep her away from the man she loves.

I’ve listened to the first three alpha pack books now and really enjoyed them all. Black Moon is about Mackenzie and Calen and is my favorite so far. The camaraderie among the pack is fun and the characters and action are always kept interesting. The narrator does a wonderful job of keeping you in the story.

For starters, I love this series and Mason Lloyd’s narration. (Although I did skip #2.) The camaraderie among the men is the best part of the books for me and the addition of the female characters has added interesting new interactions. I looked forward to Easy’s story from the beginning and I wasn’t disappointed.

Lauren and her son moved back to New Zealand to get away from her abusive husband. Nate is a globe-trotting photo journalist who buys the run down house next door. Lauren is afraid to let anyone into her life and Nate never wants to be tied down, but with a lot of help from an adorable four year old they get to know one another. There are no big dramas or fights in this story but Ms. Alvarez has no trouble keeping you interested and invested in the story. Ms. O’Toole’s narration is very good. She doesn’t do a lot of big changes between men and women, which is fine. Most important for me is that the narrator never takes you out of the story. I received an advance copy of this book and voluntarily left an honest review.

When alien ships land on Earth there is chaos and violence. The aliens are say they are answering the Earth’s call but with no advance warning most humans panic. Jesse and her sisters are caught in the middle and hide from both the aliens and the violent humans for four years. When Hunter, an alien warrior, is captured and is to be tortured and killed, Jesse can’t let that happen and risks her life to save him. Hunter claims Jesse and her sisters as his family to protect them and they all learn to know one another. The story is filled with action and strong characters and I recommend it to anyone who likes alien romance books.
