In a realm where one’s magical power determines one’s worth, Lady Everleigh’s lack of obvious ability relegates her to the shadows of the royal court of Bellona, a kingdom steeped in gladiator tradition. Seventeenth in line for the throne, Evie is nothing more than a ceremonial fixture, overlooked and mostly forgotten. But dark forces are at work inside the palace. When her cousin Vasilia, the crown princess, assassinates her mother the queen and takes the throne by force, Evie is also attacked, along with the rest of the royal family.

Ok first things, I loved the story, the world, the characters and the narration brought it all to life. I felt and gauntlet of emotions and at times, I felt like I was there. Can't wait for book two. Thank you to Jennifer Estep for writing another fantastic book and to Lauren Fortgang, you are a phenomenal narrator.

I read and listened to lots of books. Some fall short of perfection because although well written, I sometimes feel that some authors confuse lust and love. I was completely blown away by this story because it was real. I felt every emotion the characters the experienced. I felt the joy, pain, love, fear, lust, doubt, hatred and so many more. I cried more time with this book than I have my whole life because it hits really hard in the heart. Major kudos to the narrators for bringing this wonderful book to life. To the author, thank you for writing a fantastic, realistic love story. Btw, this could be a really amazing movie.

I have no idea where to begin with this review because there is so much to consider. I felt every heartbreaking, gut-wrenching emotion I believe the author was going for and then some. This is not the kind of book that I usually go for and the purchase was purely accidental. Nevertheless the story was well written and deserves to be acknowledged for many of the social and political subject matters covered. I will keep this as vague as possible because I hate spoiler. Overall this is a really great book and the narrators did a really awesome job! With my mind still reeling a bit I am going to share this book as a must read or listen.

The ancient demons of Hel have awakened, and one of them is gathering forces for an invasion of Aaru - which is pretty hilarious as far as Sam is concerned. Few know that Aaru is locked down tight after she banished all the angels. Nobody can get in. Nobody. Well, maybe nobody. The one being in Hel that might be able to restore Aaru is the archangels' prodigal brother. But he's presumed dead, having not been seen in over two million years. The remote possibility of an attack on Aaru isn't Sam's only problem.

Would you listen to Worth the Fall again? Why?

Oh how I enjoyed this fairytale! It was refreshing, unexpected and almost believable. I will absolutely listen to it again.

What did you like best about this story?

Matt is a real life hero with an amazing capacity to love! The kids are adorable and Abby is a superwoman! She is strong, self-reliant, a little damaged but she has a heart of pure gold.

Have you listened to any of Johanna Parker’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

Yes. Johanna Parker performance was amazing! I loved the children voices they are spot on. Major kudos!

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

I could not stop listening. I actually cried a few times which shocked me to my core because I am not a crier.

Any additional comments?

This awesome gem was found by accident but well worth the credit and did not disappoint!

However, she gets sidetracked when the sexy, sultry son of Satan, Reyes Farrow, moves in next door. To further complicate matters, Reyes is her main suspect in an arson case. The storyline gets better and better with each new book released. I can’t wait to see how Charlie’s character evolve. The main characters in this story are all amazing and I am loving it!

I am bothered by this novel immensely! How any of this could be considered true love or whatever the author was trying to convey is BS. How do you treat someone like the crap under the bottom of your shoes then profess to love that person? I believe in forgiveness but this story is so one sided and ridiculous like most of the other KA novels that I fear that this may be my last KA novel. I don't usually write reviews but this entire story really pissed me off! I am so tired of authors trying to convince women that being treated like garbage by some guy then having sex = love. Typical premise of a KA novel.
