Are you tired of feeling f*cked up? If you are, Gary John Bishop has the answer. In this straightforward handbook, he gives you the tools and advice you need to demolish the slag weighing you down and become the truly unf*cked version of yourself. "Wake up to the miracle you are," he directs. "Here's what you've forgotten: You're a f*cking miracle of being." It isn't other people that are standing in your way; it isn't even your circumstances that are blocking your ability to thrive. It's yourself and the negative self-talk you keep telling yourself.

Felt like the narrator was trying to tell me a secret. Low energy, hushed tones, almost monotone but not quite. Material was great at some points but at others was a little too gushy fangirl about things like Taylor Swift, which was a little alienating for someone who isn't invested in that part of millennial culture. Overall had some good takeaways and a positive message.

It started out like any other morning on the train - until I became mesmerized by the guy sitting across the aisle. He was barking at someone on his phone like he ruled the world. Who did the stuck-up suit think he was...God? Actually, he looked like a god. That was about it.

At first I was wary of the "suit" archetype and his seemingly angry character, but I think this book pulled it off. It's a little stereotypical, the angry successful guy that's secretly a softie that was just so hurt and all he needs is a good woman to open his heart back up again...reality is generally nothing like that...BUT personally, I don't read these for reality. It's a fun book. Also, love the narrators.

If you are questioning that, debating about whether to reach for the stars, or just in need of more information to back up that feeling you have about being a woman at work: here you go. Read it.

The first time I met Chase Parker, I didn't exactly make a good impression. I was hiding in the bathroom hallway of a restaurant, leaving a message for my best friend to save me from my awful date. He overheard and told me I was a bitch, then proceeded to offer me some dating advice. So I told him to mind his own damn business and went back to my miserable date. I couldn't help but sneak hidden glances at the condescending jerk on the other side of the room. Of course, he caught me on more than one occasion, and winked.

The first time I met Caine West was in a bar. He noticed me looking his way and mistakenly read my scowling as checking him out. When he attempted to talk to me, I set him straight -- telling him what I thought of his lying, cheating, egomaniacal ass. You see, the gorgeous jerk had wined and dined my best friend-smooth talking her into his bed, all along failing to mention that he was married. He deserved every bit of my tongue-lashing and more for what he'd done.
