Quantum theory is the most revolutionary discovery in physics since Newton. This book gives a lucid, exciting, and accessible account of the surprising and counterintuitive ideas that shape our understanding of the sub-atomic world. It does not disguise the problems of interpretation that still remain unsettled 75 years after the initial discoveries. The main text makes no use of equations, but there is a Mathematical Appendix for those desiring stronger fare.

This is a listen one time book. The author is a little full of himself. Tries, unsuccessfully, to link Quantum Theory with everything. The short intro to Thermodynamic is great listening.

For anyone interested in foreign affairs, this book will catalyze debate, and not only for Mr. Huntington's concluding scenario for World War III. He sees how this could happen if the U.S. mishandles an increasingly xenophobic and truculent China. Chinese assertiveness, Huntington argues, rises out of its felt grievances against a relatively weakening West. After China, the gravest challenge to the West is resurgent Islamic identity.

A wonderful synopsis of world history and excellent analysis of events. His civilization theory is tough to refute. Ahead of his times but he didn't foresee Donald Trump who is shaping world history.
