The stories are interesting and told so well. The energy is perfect and while listening you can't help but feel it. If you don't feel great during and at the end of this, you have much work to do. I enjoyed this book very much and will add it to my listen-again collection.

Chicago radio personality James VanOsdol was once told by an employer, "You haven't earned the right to have fun yet". It was a statement about his status in the company that came to symbolize the more dramatic soul-crushing aspects of the modern workplace. In this funny, accidentally motivational, and highly listenable new book, VanOsdol recounts his own successes and failures in the job market, stopping along the way to share mood-appropriate playlists to run on your streaming platform of choice.

At 44, he's on the Forbes' list of highest earning comedians, sells out arenas, and has starred in four hit comedy specials including Why Would You Do That? on Showtime. Stay Hungry tells the story of the 20 years in between.
