Ryan has done a superb job not because of his mastery of language or the art of writing. While Ryan is not a formal novelist his raw, honest and genuine writing provides an extremely realistic and true to his experience adventure.

If you want to know what it is like to be a "grunt" in the Army and are open minded enough not to judge the fact that English Literature was likely not Ryan's University major, and are interested in the day to day extremely literal experience of the war in Iraq then I highly and without hesitation recommend this book. I have purchased it in CD 💿 format as well as Audible and yes it is worth the money.

I think you will find Ryan A. Conklin to have been true to himself, his experiences and his no-bull approach to telling his story appealing in every way. Once you've read it, befriend him or his fan page on Facebook and you will find a very kind person who continues to share his life experiences with his fans of which he has many!

Great job and humble thanks to you for your service and for telling us the truth of day to day grunt life. It should help aspiring soldiers by giving them the candor they need to approach this commitment with open eyes. Enjoy the book!

Unlike Obama's speech, Reagan's turned out to be hopeful and truthful at the same time. Wish we had a President like Reagan again. The world would not be falling apart and our economy would not resemble a 3rd world, socialist economy.

It is quite a different view of things. But I appreciated it greatly and to have a perspective challenged as my own was in varying degrees was a healthy and worthwhile endeavor.

I highly recommend this audio book to anyone who finds the cultural nuances of Mid Eastern countries, and understands the perceptions of the West, an interesting prospect; this book is for you. Have an open mind and be willing to accept the book's theoretical explanations. What you do with it in the end is up to you but I found it to be a most unique journey. Also, the movie that was made for this book was not much true to the book at all so if you have watched the film and liked it, you will find this book far more realistic and compelling.

Would you consider the audio edition of Seeking Allah, Finding Jesus to be better than the print version?

I definitely enjoyed the audio version of this book most because it was read by the author. It is always more genuine when read by the person writing the story.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Hard to chose from Nabeel or David.... but I think Nabeel
